comon dubai rnt u bored of constructing everywhere just leave the only natural thing you have left that the people like the most and let us just sit and watch the sun goes down on that beach which is y its called SUNSET beach guys just leave the beach alone
it is my runaway spot after a long hectic day, my place to jogg.is there any other place nearby???!!?? I wonder & think that my next place will be ....Dubai roads !
I wholeheartedly support you r petition - although remembering that The developers and the government are in fact the same entity. This is so shortsighted. All cities need public spaces- why destroy one of such beauty? WHere else is on the hitlist? Creek Park? Safa Park? I loved my time in Dubai and on umm suqueim beach, now I know I won't ever be back. Guess I'm not the only one. Save the Beach! And the fishermen!
what the reason to take the beach away. We have enough buldings and houses that there is no need to take the beaches. People love the beaches here and love going to it and sometime even every day. If you take that away where they go and so where will i go. I am always on the free beaches and i love it and it has such a beautiful view that if u build on it the beauty is all gone.
How is it possible that the key decision makers of Dubai get so blinded by greed and do not realize that open and untouched areas are what all leading cities are after now?
I know the milions of dirhams this developement will generate make our little petition look ridiculous but we are talking about humanity here... What? Did Zabeel Investment HAVE to build this stupid yet new development on the most beautiful beach of the city a one of the most beautiful in the world (in my opinion at least...). It is the most beautiful sunset, the best view, the clearest water, the best sand and the best sea level available in the whole of Dubai, are we left to understand that people up there don't give a damn about what people gathered here for, now that we are here, spending money in the country, we can be ripped off? Quite easy and unfortunately, not much, WE, little voices can do but I do hope the decision makers feel the disgust we all are filled with. Foreigners will never be attracted by Dubai's towers, there are enough of these in the West, it just seems some people here do not realise the beauty their land was given by God and keep on destroying it a bit more each day...
I'm sorry to see yet another piece of nature falling prey to construction. But I'm not surprised - money is a key factor in Dubai, not people or nature.
PLEASE PLEASE DON'T TAKE AWAY OUR CHILDHOOD - WHERE CAN WE GO NOW TO PLAY ON THE BEACH, TO RUN, TO HAVE FUN, TO BUILD SAND CASTLES?? Oliver (10), Amelia (7)
isn't the palms & thw world enough water front development...why wreck the few nice spots we have in dubai to enjoy...this should stop..it makes to sense to take away a tourist attraction dubai plans to make tourism its main GDP povider....
I've lived my whole life in Dubai, seen the changes and the way its grown, but through it all, the beach is the one thing that I think most of the community truly loves about Dubai. Please let 'one' of what was Dubai's natural beauties remain for everyone to enjoy.
Dubai has so much to offer, why oh why is the government taking away its prime asset? Natural beauty is something to be preserved not turned into another concrete jungle. This beach has a unique culture of its own blending every nationality, culture and religion. Where else in the world can you see this work in such harmony?
I hope the Dubai authorities will take into account the goodwill of the concerned community and respect the nation's fragile environment constantly threatened by the greed of property developers.
It is important to remember that its not just the expats who frequent this beach. I live close by and constantly see locals benefiting from this beach's natural beauty. The expats can always leave but the government needs to consider the national benefit. I'm sure this kind of development wasn't in His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan's (Rest In Peace) grand scheme for Dubai and the UAE? It is very disappointing to witness such a development taking shape.
First thing in the morning and last thing at night the beach brings a special calm to all that are there. Why close something so beautiful, what are they going to use it for. Surly Dubai has enough concrete to last a life time.
This beach was one of the attractions for people who live in Dubai as well as for tourists! As all other beaches in Dubai disapear because of huge palaces (which are used by only a few, few people !) it is even more important that the public (!) beach in Jumeirah stays open for the public.
Dubai has a lot of great developments .. but if they keep exaggerating like this, soon all the character and precious little piece & quiet will be gone and Dubai will truly become an artificial, unlivable place ..
