I am a local in Dubai and am ashamed of what you are doing with these developments. You need to look after the residents instead of being greedy exploiting the country
As a resident of Dubai for 29 years it's really sad to see this happen. It already feels like everything in Dubai has a price tag and I guess this is just another example of it. Let's hope our voices will be heard.
Think twice before withdrawing what is today one of the last free activity for the people who work extremely hard and intensively to contribute to the development of Dubai.
Dubai will get too artificial.Making business is one issue but appreciating it`s quality of life is another issue and this beach is part of our quality of life.
This development should not be allowed. As a frequent visitor to Dubai I find that the the presence of the Jumairah beach is vital to the city. Overt commercialization is hurting Dubai already.
Yes Dubai is on its line of rapid growth but why destroy the small strip of beach. Its obvious that the developers don't understand how important sun, sand and sea is to the residents of Dubai. Think twice before acting and let the beach goers enjoy life.
An important part of any well integrated, well functioning, happy city is that the city provide public spaces such as parks and beaches for people to enjoy. It not only creates a better quality of life but helps create a strong and interesting fabric of society.
Save the beach.
Save the beach! Where are us ladies going to sunbath? Where are all those annoying quad bikers and jet skiiers going to annoy people? Construction SUCKS! Save the beach! Save the beach!
Taking away the beach from the common man is like taking away fresh air. Where else does one go to enjoy the sea and sand then? Not everyone can afford the luxury of resorts, nor dish out Dhs.30 for an entry to parks and beaches with the family. Give us a break please and live and let live.
It would be nice if they did listen to the people, as it is the people who are expected to support Dubai with its rapid growth. If they keep taking away from the people then who is going to want to invest in Dubai.
Think of you countries future and dont take it all away.
I have lived her for 17 years and feel that Dubai is becoming even more stuffy and pretentious. WE have enough MALLS and RESORTS!!! Leave something for the people giving their lives to the city to enjoy!!
We want to double the population but at the same time we want to reduce the land for the people. Enough already. Let's keep some natural beauty in this place and allow people some freedom.
I am 9 years living in Dubai . I love living in Dubai . Never had any complain except now, I think they are becoming to greedy. What is becoming from the lovely Dubai ! where you want us to go and enjoy a day or evening out at the beach with the family , picknick .... The beach will only be for the hotels !! What about the residence , aswell locals as expats . You want us to crow all together on a small area off beach what will be left !! Wake up Dubai , I know you need the tourist, but you also need the residence ! Think about the children , they need to have a place , where they can be outside , swimming and playing in the sand ! They do not need 20 malls ,...!!
i have lived here for years and often use that beach without it people will have nowhere to go and it will detract from the appeal of dubai which is why people want to move here - there is already not enough public space in dubai - you cant just have a city of 5 star hotels and no character!
