Development are good but to which extent, Dubai is becoming a concreteland, disrupting wildlife, and ecosystems thanks to the greed of developers! Dubai make it different! you have the means to become a ecoconscious tourist place, do it and avoid distroy the beauty of nature, Residents of dubai locals as expatriates deserves it!
This really is a sad day for all of us here the only way i survive this place is by going on my evening walks, beach jogs and swims.....i think that this is disgusting and an insult to all expats ,a real slap in the face!...i live 45 sec from that beach now what? I FEEL USED.....DONT YOU?
It is really unfortunate that the simple pleasures of life available to general public keep reducing in the U.A.E. Everything has to be paid for and everything is slowly but surely becoming expensive. The rulers have the best intentions at heart but the implementation of these is a totally different story. In the race to develop Dubai & U.A.E. as a world class tourist destination I hope the authorities don't forget about the people who made all this happen...the people of U.A.E - locals and expatriates alike!!
The joy of Dubai, amongst a few other things, was the clean unspoiled beaches.
Do we want to make this Emirate only pleasant for tourists?
What about the thousands upon thousands of us who helped to develop this lovely Emirate?
this natural place is ESSENTIAL for everybody's peace. Have you ever set alonein front of the see when you're in trouble?? It's makes you feel better. SAVE THE BEACH
Will give it a try, but guys i am not sure this will work. For these investors money always come first! You can probably imagin how much profits they will be making... Good Luck!
I have been going to this beach for 7 years now. I now have kids who absolutely loves this beach. This is sadthat day after day Dubai is forgetting about itself. Save the last peace of the real last open sand beach in Dubai.
It is ridiculous to take away our public beach areas!!! This is what attracts tourists and residents in Dubai. Stop being so money-hungry and greedy with all the building projects for once and think about the people who still appreciate what little nature Dubai has left to offer us!
Jumeriah Beach was the only natural area left in Dubai and the one facility that locals and expat residents alike could still visit free of charge. There is always the danger of a place becoming over developed and if Jumeriah Beach goes then this is exactly what is happening to Dubai. Where will Dubai residents be able to enjoy the beach in the same manor if Jumeriah Beach is taken away? Dubai is a coastal city and people come to Dubai to live partly because of the open beach; at the moment the only people who will be able to enjoy access to the coast will be tourists visiting the resorts - is this the sort of place we want Dubai to become?
Dubai is & always has been a beautiful city....I was born & grew up in it, back in 1971. Please preserve it's natural beauty, at least what is left of it! A beach such as the jumeirah beach was & still is heaven on earth....Construct buildings somewhere else & leave it in peace!!!
By doing this, the gov. proves that they are not acting in the best interest of their people. Just because a well connected developer knows somebody and wants to build yet another hotel, doesn't mean it is in the interest of the the people OR TOURISTS...
PLEASE FOR HEAVENS SAKE....THIS IS GOING BEYOND LIMIT. THERE HAS TO BE SOME STOPPAGE TO ALL THIS CONSTRUCTION. Y CANT THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY AND THE BUILDERS LEAVE SOME PLACE IN PEACE AND LET THE NATURAL BEAUTY STAY AS IS. Y IS EVERYONE TRYING TO MESS UP WITH THE NATURAL BEAUTY OF THIS COUNTRY. THERE HAS TO BE A LIMIT TO EVERYTHING. THE GOVT DOES NOT SEEM TO BE BOTHERED !
It really saddens me to see this happening here .. how much more commercial do you want to make Dubai .. there is already a dearth of good entertainment without high costs and now this!
I have been going to this beach for 13 years now. I have a son who absolutely loves this beach. Where will we go if this istaken away. i am surprised that the locals there have not said anything yet. PLEASE SAVE THE BEACH !!!
I have been going to this becah for 2 years now. I have 2 daughters 4 and 6 and they absolutely love this beach. Where will we go if this is taken away. Along with all this development - do we not need some space to ourselves instead of having to look at more buildings. i am surprised that the locals there have not said anything yet. PLEASE SAVE THE BEACH !!!
