We have 2 small kids an never spent more than 2 hours on the beach!I really dont want to pay the cracy rates of hotels to go to the beach for such a short time!!!
The development of Dubai is exciting and impressive, but preservation of precious public places such as the beach should be part of the masterplan. Please reconsider and reevaluate!
Leave the God's earth. Live and let live. Very soon our coming generations will have nothing to see on panet Earth. More than property, war, terrorism - GLOBAL WARMING is the priority
You are destroying the only public beach we have in Dubai. I see many tourists coming to visit the beach in their tour buses which only shows that this place is considered to be one of Dubai's popular marks. How could you take this away from us (the people who live in Dubai) and the 1000sands of tourists that come every year. This is the only place where we go to unwind after a long and hard week at work, relax and enjoy the beach while having the lovely view of Burj Al Arab. I was hoping to bring my son to the beach (once he is born) and share this experience with him. Now you are depriving me from this experience and from looking forward to it. This place has become part of our lives!!!! Dont turn it into a commercial site. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!
Please dont close the best public beach in Dubai! Every decent place on the planet has a public beach. If Jumeirah beach gets closed down, it will be such a shame for all of DUBAI!
What is the point of Dubai Waterfront, the three Palms and the World. Weren't these all supposed to extend the amount of beachfront in Dubai. Oh, sorry, I forgot. It's only for those that can afford a house, resort, palace. As that's the case, why destroy arguably the most pleasant part of Dubai's coastline. Another day, another Sim City move.
This is absolutely ridiculous!!!! Dubai is suppose to be an up and coming holiday spot - who would want to come on holiday now where goods at home are cheaper and have no beach to enjoy!! That said - what about the locals and expats who enjoy going to the beach - AND ANY WILDLIFE - The Palm and The World have already set about destroying marine and wildlife - where will it stop!
A balanced life is essential to personal well being.Because we have such a diverse culture and income bracket in Dubai we should always strive to provide balance, many people who use the public beach(es) in question do not have the resource or time to travel further afield and probably do not have sufficient disposable income to enroll in expensive beach clubs. These are some of the only accessible beaches where driving prohibitted and enforced making them family friendly, please ensure a suitable alternative before denying this life balance opportunity.
when i first saw the sands' extentions, i thought they're expanding the beach, so it's a construction idea as well, is it... Greed is a killer indeed....
Instead of building on the beaches, why doesnt someone build a multi story carpark in an area where parking is limited... like garhoud or sheikh zayed rd or media city... leave the beaches alone build something that is needed.
I am not sure that thses companies or the hotels actually own the sections of beach. They do however block access to the beach. Some one should check legally who actually owns the beach. It should be accessible to everyone.
The Dubai Government is wise and I hope they do not start to let greed rule them. The social welfare of any community is just as much if not more important that ecnomic development.
This is the only beach where everyone comes and relax over the weekend, specially over weekends to meet family & friends...let help to keep the beach open
