Not everyone has the means (or the inclination) to visit 5-star beach resorts. Neither are all of Dubai's visitors super-wealthy. I say save the beaches.
The Jumeirah Beach is the only real beach left for residents. Dubai has already expanded beyond everyone's expectations. There is no need to reclaim such a public place and ruin its beauty. Surely enough of this has already been done!
This beach was the only place in Dubai that perfectly represented Dubai on all fronts. I is a place where people of all nations and all backgrounds were able to go and co-exist with no boundries or frontiers between them, from the labourers to the CEOs. From White to black, arab to indian. It a true representation of what Dubai should achieve one day on a social front, a true cosmopolitan city that allows all to be equal. This beach was the only surfer Haven in Dubai, if you close it, you lose what Dubai needs to represent and prove to the rest of the world that is solely based and driven to generate more profits with no other social consideration to the rest.
Dubai's once beautiful coastline is now nearly completely obscured by property development. Please preserve a piece of it for future generations to enjoy
There is nothing more beautiful than to be looking out at the sea, god made a wonderful creation for us to enjoy, I dont want to see more bricks and mortar ive seen enough in the last 8 years to last a lifetime, stop the greed.
I am an estate agent myself and make mymoney from new developements but cannot bear that we are losing so much of our public beaches. What about our doggies??
It would be wrong to close this beach. This is the only public beach in Dubai. The government have done a great job with this space so far. Why give it to greedy land developers.
I am a filipino working here in Dubai. Everytime I miss my family and my friends back home, I always go to Jumeirah Beach to console my loneliness. I would always spend most of the holidays just sitting there and playing my guitar. The beach has been a witness to all the pains and joys i've experience in Dubai , which I consider my second home.
Please don't destroy the most beautiful place in Dubai... it's also a very special place for me and Adam.. it's the place we met for the first time.. and we'd like it to be there for our children to see..
Dubai can lay grass and create lush green parks on sand to attract communities. Please don't forget about the natural wonders we have in this country. Save the beach
Denying access to the public of this beach will further undermine the quality of life of Dubai residents. For those of us who have been here a long time, we have already lost much of the desert which was easily accessible before. Don't take it all away, please!
Please save the beach and make a wonderful corniche in order to have marvelous walks near the sea.
Please do not make the same mistakes French Riviera in France made with awful buildings next to the sea.
Thank you
I'm tired of going to the beach only to find filth and dirt all over the place. Public Beaches should exist and should be FREE. The Public beach is our responsibility to keep clean. If we make an effort Dubai government won't need to close it off.
Why make Dubai the only place in the world where you have to pay for access to the beach, the beaches are for everyone to use not just the rich, who can afford to pay for a beach club membership here, BEACHES SHOULD BE FREE FOR ALL TO ENJOY!!
Let the Jumeirah Beach remain our favourite spot for romantic getaways, lonely evenings, children's holiday spot and small family dinners... don't take this opportunity also to cater only to the rich and richer... Let Dubai be the place we've always enjoyed so much. PLEASE!
I love this beach and strongly believe it should stay as it is: FOR PPEOPLE WHO LIVE IN Dubai: local residents and expatriates! Let's rise our hands up!
Thank you
Please there should be some natural, unspoiled places where all residents and visitors can enjoy the wonder of the sea, without having to pay an entrance fee.
i feel the beaches are one of the major attractions for the europeans who also are the people who invest in to real estate, if you take away beaches they would think twice before moving to dubai.
Making room for more money generating compounds at the cost of nature, is most certainly unfortunate. The beach front of Dubai is as much an attraction as the tallest buildings... it would be a shame to loose.
save the beach!!
if these property developers want to make some fancy waterfront why dont they build on "The World" IM SURE theres enough New beaches there to work with..
Dubai needs to respect people's right to have a beach that does not require an enterance fee like many other countries inthe world, this is not about making money only it is a need in this hectic worl to enjoy and appreciate the enviroment
I have beeen in Dubai from past one year , when i came first to Dubai i went to the beach. It is a wonder of gods creation which should be free for all human kind to fill it and enjoy it .
PLEASE SAVE IT FOREVER .
