Take Positano in Italy as an example or Mooloolaba esplanade in Australia as an example for incorporating development along side public beaches and not cut access to the general public! This is what keeps us here!
Don't close the beach! PLEASE. Don't remove the last remaining bit of freedom and nature in an urban jungle where our consumer-driven egos suck the life out of the planet. Leave us this one tiny space to breath and feel wholesome in this world.
Surely the Dubai Government cannot be so short-sighted and remove one of the ket attractions of this city - the beach! Why will visitors come here if there is no beach! Why will people invest here??
Save the beach - with the 3 palm islands there is already enough damage done to nature. If all public space becomes private or you have to keep on paying to go to the beach/park who wants to stay here if elsewhere in the world nature is much more respected and accessible to the general public?
Greed and messing with nature will back fire in the long-run!
I think Dubai's leadership is spinning out of control. How do they expect to attract families to the cities when you have to pay for a whole apartment to get a glipse of a beach.. something given freely by God.
Living here for the past 21 years, experienced dubai's great evolution i am sad to experience this change in Jumeirah beach , as it has always been our only source of nature in the city. And sadly it is affecting Local nationals and all expatriates as well as tourists.
My children grew up and loved meeting their friends at the Jumeirah Beach. Where would cities like London and New York be without Hyde Park and Central Park. The soul is being sucked out of Dubai.
Over the years we have spend many happy days on Dubai's public beaches. Most of them have now gone. Please do not take what little is left of Real Dubai away.
I am in shock. This is ridiculous. Even I didn't think Dubai would go this far. Who do they think they are. Seriously! every major coastal city has vast amounts of public beach and Dubai wants to be this big important place so therefore SAVE THE BEACH!!!
All the beautiful and free to use spots in Dubai are being made for commercial purpose. Dubai will die by all of these. Please leave some part of coastline for people to acess

Please protect your public beach. It will be your saviour in the future and will attract tourists and residents from all over. It is one of Dubai's most precious attributes, that makes it comparable to Miami and better still. Please stop focusing on short term gain and protect your city's God given assets.
The leaders of Dubai must remember any great city needs great publc spaces. This great public beach and other natural assets in of Dubai must be preserved for all, local and expat alike, for Dubai to ever become a "great" city
Other countries could only dream to have the seaside benefits as UAE has, and instead of to keep it and protect it, you are ruining it slowly but surely!!! Save the beach for the Human Beings!
The Government has proven in the past that public opinion is considered and addressed. Let us hope the decision to remove one of the last pieces of community beaches can be reversed and that future plans affecting the community at large is revealed at a much earlier time.
I have been staying in Dubai for the past 14 years and a frequent visitor to Jumairah beach, they are depriving us by closing the beach, this will effect the expats staying here, a request to at least keep some part of the beach open to Public

As a Windsurfer its one of the few places left where you can surf in Dubai with a free spirit. Really hope they change their mind.
