I lived in dubai between 2003 and 2004. I went to Jumeirah Beach at least twice a week. I love this beach! I cannot believe this beach should be closed. it is the only low fare beach in whole of dubai, its beautiful. HOw are you gonna attract tourists one day, if there are no beaches anymore, but everything is full of buidlings? Keep at least some nature, please!
I was a resident of the UAE from 1980 until 1996. I have fond memories of Jumierah Beach. It would be a terrible shame to take it away from the citizens of Dubai.
The greed of the proposed development is inexcusable. It will be very sad to see ones of Dubai's last free, accessible-to-all attractions fall to developers like the rest of the city.
The beach is used by hundreds of people daily! This includes locals, expats, as well as workers. The beach is one of the few enjoyment areas that workers can enjoy, everything else has an entrance fee. Once you take this away, they have nothing. It is the RICH taking from the POOR. LET US KEEP OUR BEACH, PLEASE!
People who rent villas infront of the beach pay a higher price for their rent will their rent be reduced when the beach will be closed....I don't think so!
Greed runs most of these people so no petition will help as they just want millions and nothing more, people in dubai dont care about the nevironment or the poeple around. they need to realise what they will be missing!!
I am 7 years old and I have decided that me and my family would sign this petition because last time I loved the beach soooo much and I wanted to say that this beach was better than any other beach.
There are an insufficient number of beaches in Dubai to begin with; why eliminate what little exists? If Zaabeel construction wants to make money, there's plenty of beachfront property closer to Jebel Ali.
Dubai 'the city that Cares', please show us that you also care for your hard working residents. Our local nationals will mourn the loss of their heritage, surely. Keep the beaches open to every one. The beaches are special, particularly in the hotter months, when we can stroll, exercise, take in the fresh air and and cool off in the beautiful blue sea and sea breezes. The beaches are invaluable to our way of life in Dubai and is an important means of escaping the A/C months.
We need to keep Jumeirah Beach. It would be a shame for the community to loose it. Where we'll we go and where will we take the tourists too?? We'll soon have nothing left good enough to enjoy.
i am 10 years old i love the beach.i go biking, swimming with my family. i beg you just don't close the beach its like a dream to everyone. everyone loves the beach. i see people playing games and having a wonderful time. i go to the beach and have a wonderful time with my mom and sister.
Quoting Dubai Municipality - "Our vision - to create an excellent city that provides the essence of success and comfort of living." O.K. make it a pay beach like the parks but don't take it away.
I always come to the beach once a week to enjoy myself and my friends as well.
The beach is like the only free and enjoyable place to go.
i beg you not to close the beach.
Please be considerate to residence and tourists. This is one of the best beaches in Dubai, if not the best. I fail to see the logic in turning this natural beach into another development. Tourists coming to Dubai also want to spend time on natural beaches. Not just those that are part of a development. Besides, what will be left for the residence? There are many great ideas in Dubai. This aint one of them!!! Not impressed. Someone is missing the point here.
I am 12 years old.
I live in Umm suqeim with my mother, sister, dog and cat.
Please do not close the beach because I am one of the people who enjoy the beach.
People who live in Umm suqeim pay alot of money a year to live here and living near the sea is very expensive and it is very rude for people closing it down and taking it away from us.
The beach will probably be used as a member ship like Minah al Siyahi and many people cannot afford this and marine life will be destroyed.
Please do not close the beach you are taking away our hapiness and freedom.
Thankyou xx
With Jebel Ali beach also being destroyed in the name of constructio, this really is too much. The people of Dubai need and enjoy their natural beaches.
