plz keeep the beach as it is the reason is its something natural still existing in this plastic world and i porposed my wife there and i have lost of memories and ther will be lots of ppl like me whio have there memmories as well its a relaxing place pls preserve it
Greed is one of the seven deadly sins! This is shameful. What will you use now to attract the thousands of predicted tourists? A guided tour of one of the thousands of building sites? Dubai Government – you need to take a reality check. You cannot attract tourists to a destination, never mind residents, that only offers private beaches, which as a matter of interest, are already hugely over subscribed and unavailable to the majority of residents / visitors.
Save the beach and save some of the enviroment and habitat as well. Too much has already been destroyed by digging up the sea bed to create man made islands. Dubai is a fantastic place but constantly neglects the enviroment.
The public beach at Jumeirah is a huge tourist asset for Dubai, enjoyed by both visitors and locals. I hope the Government acts to protect free access to the beach.
If they're not profitting the economy, then why not privatise the beaches into projects like Jumeirah Beach Park? Where else are residents going to go?!
Please, please keep Jumeirah beech open to the public. A walk along this lovely stretch is a highlight of our annual visit to Dubai and without it the city would be just another concrete metropolis
The beach is the common man ground to relax and get away from it all. One of the few places that we can relax with nature with no charge attached. Don’t take it away there is enough of land in Dubai to make other ‘luxury’ developments.
Let's protect one of Dubai's most attractive natural atractions. to me & my family , this beach is , & hopefully will remain, our weekly break from all the pressures of lifes.
I remember taking my children to the free beach that now has the Madinat resort standing on it! Please leave us aplace where we don't have to take out a mortgage to go to the beach.
I am living in Dubai for 31 years.Last 5 years public beaches turn into money making place.I request Dubai government to intervene and save for the common man as it belongs to every one not to a person or group.
Since I came heere 4 years ago the beach and desert has disappeared at alarming rate. It's time to STOP. We don't need more development, we need quality of life.
Dubai Goverment should know all the people who come to Duabi are not only comming for the purchase of property most of it is tourisim and for them the important factor is natural bueaty (beaches,Desert and heritage) if we loose all this then Dubai will have no difference than the other countries
Dubai used to be wonderful with its many miles of unspoilt coastline. We really do not need another beachside development for tourists that really do not care about the place. They always move on to another destination anyway. Please reconsider and leave this beach for all Dubai residents to enjoy. There is precious little left for us to enjoy.
This is not the only beach that's going, Jebel Ali is going too! We need another petition for that one! Indeed, there was a time when Dubai was beautiful.
Dubai was Beautiful and now it is all of skyline and no fresh air to take... The only best spot is Jumeirah Beach... So no more real state works there please...
Am devastated to hear of this development. While commercial development is important, it should NOT BE AT THE COST OF PUBLIC recreation.Its one of the best places where families can come and relax and bond together and enjoy. Its a sincere request to the government to re-consider any sort of development on the beach and leave it open to the public. Thanks..
Traffic fumes, traffic jams, concreat jungle, work stress - this is hte only stretch of land we have where we can relaxe and breath some fresh air. Please don't take this away!
Why does the dubai government insist on taking away the things that bring joy to so many? What will happen to the people who cant afford to join special beach clubs? Are the not allowed to benefit from the things in life that are free????!!!
I was devastated when I heard the news. My entire family uses the beach all the time. My boys surf there and my husband and I swim, walk and kite-surf. I know many people who would leave Dubai if there are no beaches. Please respect the need of your citizens to have a natural beach.
they're so flippin greedy.. please dont take the beach away.. thats the only beach with waves.. and those of us who want to surf.. what are we to do??????
