'Love Monkey' Finds New Home on VH1

The short-lived CBS series "Love Monkey" has found new life on VH1. At least temporarily.
The cable channel will air all eight hourlong episodes of the show beginning next month, a network spokeswoman said Wednesday.
No new episodes have been ordered.
The dramatic comedy, which looks at life and love through the eyes of a cynical, single, 30-something music scout, premiered on CBS in January. The network ordered eight episodes, but the series was scrapped after three.
VH1 will air the three previously seen shows back-to-back on April 11, starting at 7 p.m. EDT. The remaining five installments will air weekly on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. beginning April 18.
"Love Monkey," based on Kyle Smith's 2004 book of the same name, stars Tom Cavanagh as protagonist Tom Farrell. Jason Priestly, Larenz Tate and Christopher Wiehl also star.
Wow, figure this... a great, heart-felt show with awesome writing and a superb cast gets canned. It's not the network to blame, it's the lame everyman out there who would rather watch CSI and think that's great art. It's all about titillation now rather than true art.

Tom Cavanaugh Goes Back to CBS
Tom Cavanaugh has been cast as the lead in the CBS' Rich Appel-produced comedy pilot My Ex-Life , from 20th Century Fox TV. Variety says the decision to cast Cavanaugh makes it even less likely the network will pick up Love Monkey , which was pulled just a few weeks after it premiered.

Man, you've gotta be kidding this is a Male Sex in the City without the cheap tramps and nudity. Plus Ivana Milevic(sp?) is HOT! On top of the really good characters they have great music throughout the show. Support with good television that aren't about killing, autopsies, and forensics!

I don't think the show was being well. I wouldn't have seen a promo for it at all if Lorenz Tate hadn't been on Direct Effect on MTV, even then I didn't know what day or channel the show came on. The show has a good concept. All the actors involved are great, and deserve a chance shine.
It's ironic we finaly get a brand new different show that brings us hope and make us relate to it,and what do they di ..they take it off the air ..isn't it about time we get a decent show and yet get to keep it . please guys bring love monkey back for the sake of great tv shows

I support this petition because the show was truly original. Tuesday night TV is so boring without Love Monkey, it was the only show worth watching on Tuesdays.
I support this petition. In the brief opportunity we had to see it, I was convinced it was the best-written show currently on television. (I wish that were a harder decision.
