there is no way this show will last without Marissa Cooper. I for one am definately not watching the next season if Marissa won't be there. What she had with Ryan lasts forever and its not fair to kill any hope of them ever being together. Anyone who watches the O.C. knows that it can't last without the leading lady.
Bring Mischa back.....the whole "major reinvention" with Kaitlin Cooper is wrong...and you guys know it. There are many people that choose not to watch if Marissa is not in some sort of coma or alive by next season!
Ryan and Marissa are the show! look back at the first season. Dawsons Creek would have ended if they had killed off Joey in Season 3 and that is where the OC is heading. I have been a loyal watcher for three years, because I was hoping Ryan and Marissa would relive thier glory days. This is worse than Oliver! PLEASE BRING MARISSA BACK! If she wants to leave the show, that storyline about going off with her father is fine, and totally in character! But Marissa cannot die!
I support this petition cuz although im not uber obssesed with the show i think killing her off would be pretty "Unfortunate". I dont really care how they change it so shes alive still as log as shes not declared "dead". The OC writers really got it wrong this time, this episode made me whish i never sat down in the first place or that i had read a spoiler beforehand to avoid seeing such a bad episode. Let the fans get what they want and keep her alive for gods sake!

I support this petiton because this is my favorite show ever and it will never be the same without her. i think it will lose ratings and end up getting cancelled because the show revolves around ryan and marissa! BRING MARISSA BACK! this is just too sad, and its also a dumb move on the producers part and a bad carrer move for mischa!

I stopped watching this season because you brought in all these gross characters (such as Volcum and Kaitlin Cooper - what a pretentious drunk bitch and I'm not talking about her character). But I saw the show tonight and was disgusted by the those two characters in particular. Then to my dismay, Marissa DIES? WTF?

They honestly think that the show will be the same without marissa on it??? ok i know that her sister is cool and everything but marissa needs to stay on the show she is what holds the show together, honestly!!! that is like killing off rachel from friends after the end of season 3. This is total bs and they need to make it so that marissa is in a coma or sumthing but hey need her she is the key cast member and is one of the reasons the show was started in the first place, summer was only a guest character when the show started, same with julie and now marissa the main female lead is dead??? that makes no effing sence at all bring her back!!!
I feel that the finale was supernaturally bad. I couldn't even be sad because I was in such disbelief that the writers would make such an error. Nothing of this storyline makes sense for the characters. Please bring this character back or risk alienating your fan base.

The OC has been a major part of my life. I have loved every single episode of this show. This season finale was by far the worst episode I have seen. I have never felt so disappointed. The episode did not even flow together at all. Marissa's death was just random and not much feeling was put into it, because we dont see everyone's responses to her death.
It is a really stupid move to kill off such an asset to the show. It wouldn't technically be the O.C without her. She's apart of the show forever. If she is "killed" off for good, she can't pop back on. It isn't a soap opera, per say. I think after watching the show's finale, she should be in a coma and wake up in the first episode of the fourth season. From there, she decides after everything she is going to the greek islands after she recovers and is staying there for a long time. Which gives Mischa the opportunity to do her movie career. If that flops, she can do the show again. A final reunion of Ryan and Mischa should help the ratings as well. Kaitlin as the successor? I don't think so, that won't bode over well. Making Taylor have a more active role on the show would be a plus. As much as I love BROWN. I think a good way to keep the show have good ratings is to have everyone go to Berkeley University. That includes; Summer, Seth, Ryan, and Taylor. Anna should have a more frequent role as well. The O.C. is a great show and having Marissa not on it, would be a bad mood for the O.C.
The OC as we know it is over without the fab four. Shut up Taylor, 5 is a crowd. Marissa is the girl ever guy wants and ever girl wants to be. This is like Marilyn Monroe dying, except Marissa is wayyy hotter.
