because the show revolves around the 4 main characters, losing 1 of them is in essence like losing a limb, its just not the same without it. and chances are ratings will drop and u will not be able to carry on the show.
I'm a loyal fan and will tune in next season despite Marissa's death. However, can someone please give Kaitlyn speech lessons so I can understand what she's saying?
We all are drawn t the OC for the Ryan-Marissa aspect, even if Marissa is gone we can live with that, but dont kill her, have her go with her dad. You will loose about 500,000 fans over this, and the next season will be a drag, more importantly you wont sell anymore dvds. all of my dorm section has agreed that we shall all get rid of our dvds and everything we have oc related, and even stop watching if Marissa is dead. Bring her back to life somehow, or its over

I started watching the OC during season 2. Although I did not watch the OC season 1, I do have it on DVD because I realized what a good show it is. I just want to say that without marisa, the show will not be the same. That is one of the main reasons that I watched the show is because of all the ryan/marisa ordeal. Although there was a lot of drama, her character is a main part of the show, so if you decide to get rid of her character I do not think I will watch the show anymore. SAVE MARISA!!!

I will not be watching The OC next season except to find out everybody's reactions to this horrendously miscalculated tragedy! Very badly ended--this wasn't a season finale, it was a series finale!!
This is horrible. She was by far the best character on this show, and the fact that she was in it was one of the only reasons I began watching this show. This took me by total shock. I begged and pleaded in my mind for her not to be dead, but after the news was confirmed I was completely and utterly outraged (not insanely, but I was very upset). Bring her back!
The OC will be nothing without Mischa Barton, and the ratings are gonna go down wayy to far, soon the show will be cancelled, unless you bring back Marissa!!
i don t know if i must hate mischa know,what s wrong?bad atmosphere on the set,wanna do movies,don t want to be typecasted?she destroyed now the oc,the job from the others bc i can t think that the show survives without her,and i also don t think that now it s a great way to start her movie career,she let alll her fans and r m down!and josh i can t believe that he killed her off,it s already bad that she would have going to jimmy for a year but way better then killing her off8and even no rm kiss or a i love you.what the he**.i also think that s even the end of the friendship with her and the co stars that she gave the sf ending away to access hollywood,that s bad.i don t really know why and who to blame bc i don t really know what really happened but i for sure can say,i give them a half season and the show gets cancelled.i only watch the first episodes for seeing their reactions etc..but after that i m done!and i don twant to not seeing the oc anymore bc it was my passion,i m so sad and angry,i can t stop crying.
People aren't going to stick around for a show based on the "fantastic three". Your taking one of the key characters out of a pop culture phenomena. It's like taking water away from eath, air, and fire. I hope you enjoyed your fame Josh, casue the way it's been going... YOU'RE DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have watched this show like it is real for 3 years now and i have bought ever single season that is out on dvd. Marissa Cooper may not be my favorite character on the show but she since the begining she has made a wonderful character. Remember when johnny died yes it was sad but he never had the time to touch our hearts like Marissa did. If Marissa does for sure die than the oc with be nothing because the oc is nothing without all of the fab four.
because what a great way to really get fans going....she lives through the car accident and the ratings will soar. I love this show dont ruin it forever
