I'm not a massive fan of Marissa's, but I think killing her will kill the ratings. I would've prefered her to leave peacefully to be with Jimmy then to die at the hands of Kevin F'ing Volchok.
ive watched the oc since the very first show. im a sr. in high school and i know what they are goin through. i can see her being in coma or something but not off the show. let her live her life. if she wants off yeah let her go away for a year with her father like story is but not off forever. WE NEED HER!!!!! her and ryan need to be together!!!

Marissa was THE MAIN characrter on the OC since day one. There would have been no OC without her, she STARTED IT ALL-"MARISSA & RYAN AND SUMMER & SETH". Yea, she went through a lot over the years...dad embezzles money, mom divorces him, overdose in Tijuana, mental institution where she meets psycho Oliver that locks her in a hotel room with a gun, her mom slept with her ex, her mom tried to set Ryan up, her and Ryan break up and he ets another girl pregnant, she drinks, she dated a lesbian high school drop out, she shot Trey to save Ryan, she was almost raped, her stepfather dies, her dad leaves her to go to Hawaii...etc...thats what makes the show interesting!!! She needs to be on the show so her and Ryan can be together...that's what everyone loves...and when we see them together...it's amazing!!! And the comments Ryan made to her standing in the model home that "we are not over, you never know what the future holds, little comments like that make people happy knowing that there may be a chance they may get back together...and thats what America loved MOST...RYAN AND MARISSA!! BRING HER BACK!!! EVEN IF SHE IS NOT A REGULAR...at least bring her back to life and LET her go to Hawaii...don't end it by killing her. THAT was harsh. All in all, I as well as MANY OTHER PEOPLE want her ON THE SHOW. Don't kill Marissa, because you'll be saying goodbye to the OC. This WILL be the last season if you don't bring her back!!! I'm telling you...do you know HOW MANY of my girlfriends AND guyfriends have said they WILL NOT watch the show becuase she kept it interesting and all the guys thought she was HOT...especially in the school girl outfit and couple weeks ago! So PLEASE, hear us out, and let the OC air for may more seasons..and the only way to do that is by BRINGING MARISSA BACK!!!!!
don't let her die! i know mischa is leaving the show, but you can at least have her go with her dad and maybe guest apperance or not even that! it's better than killing her b/c it will ruin the show...ruin ryan,julie, and summer! the show is not the same to me w/o her. even if you have to bring in another actress to play mischa i would rather that happen than her die. it's not right, completely wrong! the death of marissa cooper is the death of the O.C, remember that. i don't care what you will do but if she isn't alive, the show isn't alive!
I support this petition becase marissa is my fave character.she has had so many moments from happy to sad and every person has followed her through them experiencing some emotion. her love with ryan should be everlasting as well as her friendship with summer and not leaving seth behind. I know marrisa hasnt had the bestest life but without her there would not have been such a great show and the greatest fantastic four. i love the show but it wont be the same so i will not be that botherd now cause in my opinion no one can replace marrisa and i probably wont watch anymore xx
I find this absolutley ridiculous. The death of Marissa, in that fashion, was an insult to the way the show has carried on for the past three years. And though I understand that Mischa Barton wanted to pursue other acting avenues and though I love and support her as an actress, I believe that her death scene last night was definitley not her best work. It could not only have been acted out better, but over all, it could have been written better. The way Marissa died was an insult to Ryan and all the other characters, the actors and to the talent of Josh Shwartz, the creator. If Marissa can't be saved, I believe the fans should at least be offered alternate versions of that ending.
OMG! save Marissa, there is no other reason to watch the show! It'll end up like Dawson's Creek, i can already see it going that way, ever since Sadie! SAVE HER OR GET CANCELLED!

Your artistic cruelty in killing off Marissa resembles taking a prized toy away from a child. I hope the show drowns in the Pacific next fall under the weight of your own insecure ego and malice toward its loyal fans. Marissa and Ryan Forever!
