The OC just WOULD NOT be the same w/o her. YOu guys can have Miscah take a break and then she can come back in the second part of the season or maybe in the 5h season if there's one
I love Marissa. She was such an influential charecter. I often see myself as her. She ended up dying, does that mean that i will? I HOPE NOT! PLEASE JOSH PLEASE! don't kill her. I would be okay for her just going away for a while, but to kill her? NO!!! I have trouble sleeping at night because i am so upset about this. PLEASE MISCHA PLEASE! If you did not decide to go, thank you. If you did, i support you all the way and i hope to god that we get back on the show. You're my favorite and I look up to you. We will help.

Well thats not true becouse she never had been realy realy happy with everything.... the only time she was happy was when she was with ryan and things woure going good for them.... To kill here of was stupid and crule becouse i think i speek for every r/m fans that it would have been a greet thing for them if they could have worked things out and be happy together.... there dosent always have to be a drama betwine them....the diserved to be happy... I totally support this petition. I think it was incredibly stupid to kill off Marissa and I honestly believe that Mischa's dismissal from the show will affect next season's ratings. I'm sure that over half of The OC's viewers watch it just because of Mischa Barton (ie. all the teenaged guys out there), and without her, the show will be losing every single one of them. I think this was a horrible mistake on Josh's part.

you can't just kill the main female lead on a tv show, and bring in one of the most hated characters ever (kaitlin) to "replace" her. It's not good writing. Mischa/Marissa was what tuned me into this show after watching Once And Again, and with her gone I think it's safe to say I won't have any interest in watching it from now on.
Also, the fact that there was no "I love you" between Ryan and her? The acting made it perfectly clear, but we needed the words. We just needed closure on Ryan/Marissa and now we'll never get it.

omg why are they killing her off? that is so stupid...what the heck is this show going to be like without her!!!...hm...maybe she will magically come back or something next year...but it sounds like not....I heard on another site though that she has been thinking of doing movies or something more....but that still sucks and omg I have the same name as her just spelt different!!!! I think that taking Marissa off was completely and udderly stupid. She was the person to look forward to every thursday night. It should have been someone else. And i hope that this will be a prank or something and in the new season she woke up from a dream or from acoma. Please don't take her off!
