The show just wouldn't be right without her. We need Marissa Cooper whether played by Mischa Barton or another actrice. Soap Opera's change actors/actrices all the time... so I think we should save Marissa, with or without Mischa.
Marissa Cooper was the female lead of the O.C. Without her the show will be a utter disgrace. If writers dont plan on bringing her back, then just end the show. I won't be around to watch the demise of the O.C due to a stupid ploy to get ratings by the producers. The O.C sucks without Mischa Barton.

Theres no way this show is going to be any good without the "core 4" From the begining the main drive behind the show is the tension between Ryan and Marissa. Without it, they've got nothing.
Its like killing Rachel off of friends......let her go away with her dad, not die, this will ruin your ratings, I and a ton of other people wont buy the dvds or watch the show. On 90210 when Brenda was ready to move on, well they moved her on, they didnt kill her. She needs to be alive, and come back in the end and hook up with Ryan, shes his lobster. Please dont ruin this show, it was all well done up until this moment where you killed off Marissa, you might kill the show if you dont re-think this idea.
I have both oc season 1 and 2 dvds and have watched them a million times.. The reason i watch oc is because of the chemistry between ryan and marissa and now tht marissa is gone wat do i have to watch it 4???
Well I understand the world of entertainment growing up in Los Angeles. I have become attached to this show and believe it will not be as good without Marissa Cooper. I understand that she wanted to leave and work on other projects, but just killing her off is not a solution. Put her in a coma, at least that gives her the oppertunity to come back. The O.C. will not be as good without Marissa Cooper.
