Honestly, I feel let down. If an actor does his/her character well, the audience comes to care about the character, and obviously O.C. fans really hoped for Marissa, that she would have a better life than the last few years. I hope producers will keep her alive and on the show, but if her contract is up, keep her on for a couple episodes to at least send her away, rather than kill her off. The O.C. has been so dramatic this year, not exactly a feel-good show, or uplifting. There was finally joy in last night's show, then such a sudden change in plot, it was really shocking and hard to watch. Please keep her alive-90210 never killed one of their characters, there's no need for that, to have a compelling drama with great viewership and loyal fans. Please think of the fans, and fix this plot with some sort of hopeful resolution and a living Marissa.
I have watched this show since day number one and Marissa Cooper is one of my favorite characters on the show. I refuse to watch the OC without the character of Marissa Cooper! If the show continues without Mischa Barton its signing its death wish!
I am extremely upset and distraught. I have been an extremely loyal fan since season one of this awesome show. I am sad to say that I will no longer be a supporter of this show because the character of Marissa Cooper was axed. Why would you do this to loyal viewers? A good tv show is supposed to keep you wondering and wishing, not end all of the hope that you hold completely. This is outrageous and I disagree with this decision. Mischa Barton's character cannot die. She just can't
because the way they handled Marissa's character was disgusting! Mischa Barton is a brilliant actress, and the only reason I watched this otherwise terrible show.. without her, well it's obvious isn't it.. I won't be bothering with the OC again.. Much love to Mischa!
Due to The death of Marissa I feel that I will no longer want to have any part with the show. I am a regular view who is addicted to both the show and the message boards. I am boycotting both as of now.
because The OC is my absolute favorite show. I have seen every episode since the pilot and own the dvd box sets. If Marissa Cooper's character is killed off, the show will not be the same without her. She did not have to die, she didn't deserve it! Why couldn't her character just be "seriously injured"? Why couldn't you have given us fans a happy ending [Marissa going off to the Greek islands w/ Jimmy]??? The show was mostly revolved around the teens and the things they went through, it will not be the same if it's just Ryan, Seth, and Summer. We don't care about Kaitlyn! We care about Marissa!! Even after ratings for The OC declined, us, the true fans, continued to watch because we were loyal and we connected w/ the four teens. Watching The OC will go from being the highlight of my week, to feeling like a chore if Marissa is no longer in the show.
Lame, totally lame. Just when Marissa was starting to get "cool" again. I guess it makes sense in the big picture though since it gives a reason for Seth, Summer and Ryan to stay closer together.
because i love marissa cooper. i will not watch the show if she remains dead. however if she lives but leaves to go some place and isnt on the show that would be fine. but if she is dead i will no longer be supporting the oc. it was too tradgic, its ridiculous, to have marissa die in ryans arms. we will not go for it!
The show will not be the same without Marissa! If Mischa agrees to return, you must have her back! This has been a big disappointment to loyal O.C fans. I, for one, will not be watching the fourth season without Marissa.
