Because Marissa was one of the fab four and without her the show is not worth watching. It won't be the same show it was before. It's not gonna be about the four main characters. It's gonna be about her little sis and her friends and that doesn't sound like a show that i want to watch. So I don't plan on being a loyal viewer next season if she's not brought back. It will never be the same without her.
Marissa is and always will be the best character on The O.C.
The least we could have had is a death more fitting for Marissa Cooper, not some lame car crash idea.
I cant believe you killed Marissa. She was one of the core characters from the start. I really hope they realize that they shot themselves in the foot. Ive watched the show from the start, loved it. But this soap opera cliche is absolute bullshit. Im not watching the next season without Marissa. And If Misha wanted to leave, it is a slap in the face to all her fans. Thank you Fox for killing this brilliant series.
This finale will make it unduly difficult to watch seasons 1 & 2. I really enjoyed watching my DVDs, but with her apparent death, I can no longer view them with peace.
I live in between France and Italy and have fought with my parents so they could buy me all the dvd's, oc mixes and lately the fox channel so I could watch the show and finale. I was not the biggest fan of marissa cooper but today I'm sad to say that I'm no longer an OC fan, the show without will be useless, and I won't continue watching the show, all these efforts for nothing... I'm mean killing marissa is not only killing her it's killing of the best quattuor friendship of all times and most of all it's killing of ryan and marissa the couple of the serie, the main plot...

For me I considered the show to be essentially strategically orientated about Barton's character. It is the key reason why i continued to watch the show, such immense and sometimes complex negativity that 'Marrissa' was able to deal with (although too artificial at times)gave the show it's unique "purpose" so to speak.I beleive that the 'DNA' of the show will be left behind next season and will not consider watching disoriented spinoffs of the rest of the casts' lives. It will just be another show that had it's moment in time as with many others and their weak attempts to reinvent the show into an excremental version of "nothingness."
