i wasn't even upset with what happened to marissa i was just so mad that they would cut her from the show, i thought it was so stupid that they would do that, i dont think the show will last without her or at least leaving it open for her to come back later on, ryan needs her, the oc needs her

because without marissa there is no foursome and without the foursome there is no o.c. if you take marissa off, anyone who ryan dates everyone will hate because they are not marissa. they will also hate ryan for dating. if you kill marissa you might as well kill ryan and then the show is done. without marissa there is no show
I think that Marissa is an important character on the OC...her and ryan belong together...the show will not be the same without her...forcing me not to watch next year

That was the dumbest move I have ever had the misfortune of seeing. What the hell?? Was that supposed to be a good move to save the show and bring back its viewers?? Well, good luck doing that. You may gain a few viewers- but you're gonna lose a hell of a lot more. I already know more than half my school is not watching The OC anymore- not unless she's back. Well, it would a bad ending. First Johnny and then Marissa? YES, she´s a troubled character, but the relationship between er and Ryan gave the show.. so much potential.
seriously. i dont know what to say. killing the character marissa was a really bad move for the show. even though it wouldve still been sad, just sending her away like anna's situation wouldve been a much greater ending. this is because then there is always the possibility of bringing the character back for a special appearance or a full time role if they are up to it. mischa barton gave such life to the show. in season one, she represented the town orange county to ryan when he first came. now since you cant just forget the season 3 finale in season 4's season premiere and just have the character marissa alive and well, you can sort of solve it like how you did with trey. have her rushed to the hospital and ALMOST die. then she has feelings that she just cant take that life anymore so she leaves with her dad. then there is the possibility of bringing her back if mischa is up to it. this would be a very great way to solve this situation.
