marissa on the oc is a big part of my life. shes turned me into a better person. i can say i was jjust like her. into the drugs and drinking. the show showed me that thats not all life is. and as marissa, ive become a better person as well. please let her back! she had a big influence on me!
I'm a devoted Completely Obsessed fan of THE OC who has watched EVERY single episode that this show has made, no matter what people said, I stuck to it, if people talked trash about it I stuck up for it all the way (besides thier talking about my golden-state home here!) but now that you have just done this....I have like no words for how much anger I feel. I have totally connected with this girl in so many ways. I used to have a drinking and pill popping problem and when I learned how she has the same pain I have and the same problems, I felt relieved, I wasen't the only one, I wasen't alone...And seeing her get better made me better, she's my ideal role model no matter what she has done thru out the season, like coke and being lesbian, I loved her for that, (I've never been close to that but I've felt why she's gone crazy and haywire sometimes) It hurts deep inside of me that someone I could relate to has now died. It hurts no joke. I still find myself crying over this. I tried telling my mom about what happen on the show (because she missed it) and I ended up crying and she looked at me all sad and she goes"...and you really related to her diden't you?.." This just hurts me everyday to look at my posters and know that she's gone, it hurts to see her in magazines even, dude, I even asked my sister not to mention her anymore because I just feel dissapointment and I feel like I've been let down. I go onto the Fox OC Home message boards and I saw a girl who wrote a letter to you saying how she just could not sleep because it hit her so bad, she woke up in the middle of the night crying, I even ran across a girl who decided to slit her wrist over this. I feel the pain these fans do. You should try taking a look at the message boards josh. You have let down SO MANY fans and viewers no joke. I'll forever love the OC but only season 1-3...I'm sorry josh, but
i can t watch it without her,it s too painfull,and it changes to much,the show loses a lot of things i loved in it.no mischa no me.i watch only the first eppys to see the others react but after that i m doe,no rm and no fab4 anymore
marissa really worked hard for the oc! for three hole season's! she deserves more respect then to get killed off! you guys have just made the biggest mistake of your lives!
My daughter and I have been very disturbed by this turn of fate. I also find it deplorable that you would do this to so many teenage girls, who looked to Marissa for inspiration. They have so much to deal with in the real world, they need a little fantasy to help them. At least send her off to sail with Jimmy. She "died" on the one-year anniversary of a young man in our hometown - real life can be very cruel, please don't do this to Marissa.
okay we need mischa back onthe oc. in your interview you said you worked with her to make her a better actress. so you kind of molded her into what you wanted. So now you kill her off after she did a great deal of practice through it all.. i dont get it! she did not deserve to die. BRIng her back on!
i love marissa.. but the reason she is gonna die.. is because Misha no longer wants to eb in the show.. although i do agree with the petition and do not agree that they should kill marissa, the producers should just find a replacemnt for Misha.. although i do love and adore mischa barton
I think that Marissa Copper is the most important charactor on The O.C. I think it was a bad idea killing her off... I hope she is not dead, because if so, I have wasted 3 years of being totally and completeally OBBSESSED with this show.

I totally support this petition. You seriously should just have let Marissa leave to her dad, this way she'll be alive and have a chance with Ryan. Volchok should have been the one to die. Now, if Marissa were to leave to her dad, Mischa doesn't have to be in it but if she wants to appear then she can. Now that some viewers have stopped watching cause The O.C wasn't as good as season one...think how much popularity it's going to have now! Not alot I can tell you that. Summer is goin to be way sad now that her BEST FRIEND is dying.
Without Marissa Cooper's character on the OC, the show will simply not be the same, nor will it maintain the audience it has had for the past 3 seasons. Marissa Cooper's character is essential to the success of this show, and she is necessary to keep this show alive.
