The Oc will not surviv e without Marissa. She is an asset to the show, and i refuse to watch if the show is going to be about Catilin, who is stupid and annoying. Marissa was my favorite and you need to bring her back now!!!!
I defended The OC all year. Everyone stopped watching but I told them it would get better. I even got some people to watch with me again and I filled them in and stuck up for Josh's decisions. For example: People hated the Seth s/l: I said the writers wanted him to grow as a character. That's just ONE example. And then they kill my favorite character off? It's horrible...just horrible. Please, Mischa and Josh, say it aint so! Change this!
I support this petition, because when Marissa died the whole show died with it. You can't just kill off a MAIN character, and pretty much change the whole of the show and expect your viewers to follow through.
I am deeply saddened by Marissa's death and could not stop crying for four hours after the finale. I have been a loyal O.C. fan since the beginning. I think the show is funny and amazing. I have even defended the show when all my friends stopped watching and called it boring, but a big reason of why I fell in love with the show was because of Ryan and Marissa. I mean Seth and Summer are great and so are the adults, but I continued to watch the show every week for the chemistry between Ryan and Marissa. Without the hope of Ryan and Marissa somehow being together, I cannot and WILL NOT watch the show any more. I think both Mischa and Ben have great chemistry together and deserve to show their chemistry on film. By killing Marissa, you killed the dreams of thousands of R/M supporters. All we want is a glimer of hope for a romance, since the third season has been dissapointing. I also disagree that there were no more directions to take the R/M relationship because I can think of many different places it could go. Eventhough I believe that you did what YOU thought was right, I think it was an insult to all of the R/M supporters. So, please bring Marissa back to the show because I don't think I can watch it without that little bit of hope I always had that Ryan and Marissa would resolve thier issues and get back together. Without Marissa, I will no longer be able to watch the O.C., which is a shame because it was the only show that left me in anticcipation waiting for the next episode every week. The O.C. was once my escape from reality and Marissa was my favorite, but no Marissa, along with my love for the show, is dead. PLEASE bring her back, for me and the thousands of others who agree so!
i have watch the oc since the first episode ever..i have all the dvds and must have watched season 1 and 2 more then 5 times..have marissa not on the show next season is gonna ruin the show..it all started off with marissa and ryan..and now ryan and probibly gonna go back to chino or be bad again..its not right to kill her off..you couldnt have killed off kaitlyn!!!!!!!!!!!!
Marissa should stay alive!!There is something there between her and Ryan,was just waiting for her to tell Ryan she still loved him,watch mostly to see them try to get back together,they are like soulmates on the show.

I have resolved to never watch this show again(excluding re-runs from the first two seasons) if Marissa is actually dead. All that I can say is that she had better be in a VERY temporary coma.
RM equals TRUE LOVE. Without them there is no show. Bring back Marissa so the fans can have the show that we originally fell in love with. Ryan and Marissa are the heart and soul of the show. Thank you writers for breaking all of our hearts. Bring her back and put them back together and you can have the best show once again.
