Marissa doesn't deserve to die! When she "died" in Ryans arms i began to cry and now i feel like i lost someone in my family. She is a key part to the show and she was gonna leave on the boat anyway! Whats the point in killing her? At least if she went on the boat she could guest star a few times...PLEASE BRING HER BACK!!! :(

because we can't have the basis of our favorite show shattered by a car crash. The scheme of the show can change if it wants, but in order to do so, there has to be some of the show left - Marissa Cooper.

i was devastated when Marissa died. When I watched her die in Ryan's arms, I felt like someone I had known for a long time was dead, i felt like a REAL PERSON had died. This feeling shocked & horrified me. I have been watching this show since season 1 & despite her & Ryan not being together all the time,I grew very attached to Marissa & her plot lines. She was going to be gone on a boat for presumably most of the 4th season anyway, so the writers should have let her do that instead of killing her off, if Mischa didn't want to stay on the show. That way, Marissa could make a few appearances next season w/out being a regular if that's what Mischa wants; & even if she didn't appear at all in season 4, it would make me & every one else signing this petition happy to know that Marissa is still alive in The O.C.'s world that we've all come to love. My best friend Emily & I both adore Marissa on The O.C., and if she doesn't survive, we're both not watching The O.C. Season 4, because we can't handle that much pain. I do like Kaitlin's character, but she,Taylor, & any new characters CANNOT replace our beloved MARISSA. Josh please let Marissa live, if you want to reinvent The O.C. next season, then don't do it with her dead-even if she's only a guest star or if she doesn't even show up, LET HER LIVE!! i don't care how you do it; say shw was clinically dead, but then she came back to life, that does really happen!! PLEASE do this for your fans!!
