It's been pretty sad for me to watch Marissa die. I supported THE OC for all its 3 years and actually am mad that they killed her off. And of course it is also Mischa Barton's fault. Anyway, why can't she be away or sth...
Killing Marissa is the biggest mistake Josh Schwartz could make. No doubt if she does die, the show's gonna lose a hell of a lot of viewers. Change your mind while you still can!!
Number one - you should not kill off one of the main character’s, Marissa, when you have teased us for three years that her and Ryan would get back together. Number two - when the show finally ends, in the series finale she could come back as a guest star and get back together with Ryan. The rumors off Mischa's attitude make her sound like Shannen Doherty when she wanted to leave 90210 and I hope the rumors (coming to work late, complaining, & not memorizing her lines) aren't true...look where Shannen's at. If Mischa did want out of contract to pursue movies, she should look at her other actresses who did the same, Sarah M. Gellar quit Buffy so she wouldn't be known as Buffy, but what other movies has she done since Buffy? It would be in Fox and Mischa's best interest to let her live and she could have the opportunity to come back. I don't think it bothered any of us that she was leaving for Greece for a while because we had the hope that her & Ryan would get together again, but to be officially dead and never come back changes the viewers minds about watching....as of today we know that there will never be a Ryan and Marissa!
because the o.c was all about ryan and marissa's relationship. with marissa dying, there will be an empty spot that cannot be fulfilled by anyone else and fans would be too digustedt to watch the o.c
I get that Mischa wanted to leave. But killing the character off when the episode set her up to leave the show anyways was just cruel. At least let the character go off on the boat and be happy. Fans want it that way!

2 I think its a shame MB has turned her back on the show on that made her but thats her choice
3 I have watched it from the start. The original OC viewers are growing up like the characters and forgive gave me if i dont want top back to the world of High School with Katlin I want to see the core four develop at UNi
3 Think of the implications on the other charcters( Ryan, Julie etc) marissa and Mischa are such a big part of the show. She will leave too much of a void
5 The OC is now a sinking ship. How long is it going to be before the rest of the original cast want off?

It is not fair killing off marissa she is the main character of the show and ryan's main love interest. I will not watch this show anymore if marissa doesn't come back.
that was the worst scene in the oc ever. the writers are stupid and i have finally had enough of their antics. i will no longer be a fan of a series that biulds up such a pivotal character and romance to destroy it in the end. really upset by all this.
I thought that this episode was AMAZING!!!! but i didnt want MARISSA to DIE.... marissa was one of my favourite plus we all know that R&M have chemistry.. i was waiting like crazy for them to get back together!!! this is my actual first season watching the show because i missed season one and two.... and in less than 2 months i finished both seasons... i loved marissa from the start and i really dont think that it was right to kill her off the show.. she didnt even have the chance to say goodbye to ryan properly or tell him that she "LOVED" him!!!! there is still a chance her to come back because she could of fainted or something because we all know that EVERYONE HAS A CHANCE TO SAY GOODBYE!!! i truly think that marissa shouldnt of have been killed!!....
They can still let Marissa live for the next season she can still survie and then they can let her go on the boat once she is better they shouldnt kill her off the show its so mean! let her live please there is still hope for me too watch the show if i know that Marissa will be alive
Beacuse it's just not fair for the viewers to see the end of Ryan and Marissa when this was the shows backbone. Why couldn't they send her off with her Dad so that she can come back in the fall and just not be a main character anymore. This totally sucks and the show in the fall is gonna suck too. I cried my eyes out.
I support this petition because I probably won't watch the show b/c it'sall about the foursome. The show will lose so manyviewers...she better just be in a coma.
