When channels are abundantly availabe the national news channels are a easily worthy of a spot. You should keep them just because you have the space because when something important happens people will always go to the news channels. For the company (XM) to favor one or the other is just unamerican

MSNBC is one of only two stations we listen to on XM. We are in the country and depend on XM for news. We have three accounts. If MSNBC is dropped, we'll drop XM.

State Senator Bob Coffin said 08/25/06, 2:43 am (verified)
Unbelievable that you would drop the best political coverage in the nation by losing Chris Mathews and Keith Olberman. Movers and shakers in DC and state capitols all over the country count on them for their political fix. They are not just news but interpreters of the news. They force people to speak forthrightly. You might lose me and my five subscriptions over this. What fools you are becoming!!!!
#259

Jennifer Harris said 08/25/06, 2:33 am (verified)
...I support this petition because I listen to MSNBC on my drive in and drive home from work each day. It is the one news station of any great value on XM. I have four subscriptions to XM, and we are all listeners of MSNBC. XM may be losing customers if they actually do this.
#258

MSNBC, which was not available on Sirius, was the reason I chose XM over Sirius in the first place. The single deciding factor. Without XM, Sirius, with it's better NPR/PRI programming is looking better and better.
#249

Jim Vilardi said 08/24/06, 8:59 pm (verified)

#248

Michael E said 08/24/06, 8:57 pm (verified)
Drop MSNBC and Olbermann and I'll drop the 2nd unit of my subscription... so much for listener retention, eh? XM mentions "XM has 13 different news channels, and it regularly updates its schedule to make way for new channels" but what new channels are you giving us? Zip. So same bill, less channels. Not even. At least drop Fox if you have to dump a channel.

I love to listen to "Hardball" and "Tucker" in teh car. And then, of course, there's the Keith Olberman program. But perhaps most valuable to me, is to have the resources of NBC News at my fingertips 24/7. MSNBC is one of the reasons I subscribed to XM in the first. I hope you will reconcider and keep MSNBC on your excellent channel lineup. I love XM in any case, but MSNBC is truely and import assest in these difficult times in which we live. Thank you for considering this request.

Dianna Atkins said 08/23/06, 9:01 pm (verified)
Please keep MSNBC on XM! I love being able to listen to Hardball when I'm in my car waiting for the kids and not at home! The reason I'm paying for these extra services is to receive ones that may not be as interesting to the general public who are not willing to pay for this! Besides, it's fun hearing the politicians get beat up on by Chris Matthews!
#216
