I like having another source of news to listen to. I don't think Olberman's that funny, though. And who is that that woman with that horrible voice - sounds like a cat caught in a blender?
I rely on XM to give me listening options that I do not have on terrestrial radio. Chris Matthews and Keith Olberman offer the best drive-time radio around.Driving home from work will not be the same without them. I can't get home in time to watch them on tv. Bring them back!
I support this petition! MSNBC is the #1 station that I listen to in the morning (countdown replay) on the way to work, and on the way home at night (tucker or hardball). I only found out this morning that it is gone (FOR NOW!) when I set out for court. It would seem to me that the type of clientele that listens to msnbc would be of some import as well. BRING IT BACK!!!!
When you drive home as late as I do, it's refreshing to listen to another form of news (i.e. Countdown). Instead, I can now look forward to listening to music channels with commercials on them. What's next?
I have a terrible commute to/from DC from southern Maryland...the loss of msnbc from xm radio's programming might just be enough to push me over the edge!...PLEASE put them back in your line-up!...I will seriously not want xm radio without msnbc!
Bad decision but with less than 600 petitioners I don't know if they will bother to listen.
MSNBC is one of my most listened and view stations.
I speak as a subscriber who has 2 radios, car and XM2GO, and as a past (successful) investor.
Fully support this petition, and if MSNBC is not returned to the lineup in the near future, I will not renew my subscription. This is highly disappointing and was the sole reason I activiated my built-in XM radio.
I listen to MSNBC throughout the day, everyday, and it was THE reason I coveted my XM subscription. MSNBC is an intelligent, hard-hitting, and supremely entertaining news station. It's also the only balanced news station out there. Without MSNBC, I must drop my XM subscription. And if Sirius picks up MSNBC, I'll subscribe there in a heartbeat. At a minimum, I MUST have my Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews!!
MSNBC was an important part of my decision to stay with XMRadio. Both MSNBC and CNN give listeners a real choice to gather information on current events and provides listeners with a variety of views. Fox is predictable and one sided and quite frankly no where near the caliber of MSNBC. I implore you to review your decision and to include MSNBC for your subscribers.
MSNBC is not only informative but also entertaining with smart nonbiased views of current world events. I believe further consideration could result with MSNBC returning to the lineup for the long run.
The only reason I have XM Radio is because I loved being able to listen to MSNBC. I don't see the point in renewing or adding additional XM radios to our household.
because MSNBC is one of the two XM stations to which I listen. It is the only balanced source of news and commentary - with real opinions - on any radio service. We have three XM radios; I have both XM and Sirius in my car. Without MSNBC I'll have no reason to prefer XM to Sirius and will change my subscriptions accordingly.
I seriously want MSNBC back on XM. This was an incredible mistake and one that could cost XM dearly in subscribers. I want to hear different views and being forced to hear either left or right with no middle is very disconcerting. I listen to MSNBC 75% of the time. If they end up somewhere else I will need to reconsider. while I did not sign up because of MSNBC, I could now leave for it since it has become the primary news channel and the primary channel overall that I listen to. Please reconsider this action.
I depend on MSNBC for news every morning and frequently only listen to MSNBC when in the car and not in front of the TV at night. I am considering cancelling my XV subscription since MSNBC has been taken off.
because I am a regular MSNBC listener, and will probably no longer subscribe to XM Radio if it gets dropped. It is one of the main reasons I signed up.
1/3 of the reason I subscribe to XM and purchased an XM Radio was to keep up on Hardball and Countdown in addition to breaking news on MSNBC, CNN and Fox while away from home. I was totally shocked when I got in my car today at 5:30 p.m. to run errands and listen to Hardball and learned MSNBC on XM was no longer. It is one of the 3 most important cable newschannels in the U.S. and during a news crisis, brings us reporting from a leading news source - NBC News. Please bring it back XM!
I agree 100% ith these comments already posted: I support this petition because MSNBC was primary reason I bought XM Radio. Inworking away from home, sometimes only FOX, CNNavailable. Mathews and Olbermann are good as radio shows.
this is the only reason i listen to XM!!! I will be very sad to see MSNBC dropped. It's the only way to get the news i trust! Tucker, MAtthews, Dan Abrams...can't imagine driving without them :( Please bring it back!!!!!
MSNBC has the most "fair and balanced" political shows on radio. Countdown with Keith Olbermann is by far the best political show on today. Did Olbermann's criticism of the Bush administration have anything to do with MSNBC being dropped? One can't help but wonder.
MSNBC was primary reason I bought XM Radio. In working away from home, sometimes only FOX, CNN available. Mathews and Olbermann are good as radio shows. And if it didn't cost too much, you'd carry Imus, too. I think your missing a demographic here. With hardware costs dropping, it might be time to vote with pocketbook and get serious.
MSNBC has some of the most insightful news hosts on cable and XM: Matthews, Scarborough, and especially Olbermann. Their ratings are improving, and this seems a foolish time for XM to drop the channel. It's called 'Strategy', people. Put at least a little money on the longshot horse.
While XM music and talk is nice the reason we extended our contract with XM is we enjoy listening to MSNBC the majority of the time. XM is losing their edge and getting more like Sirius (not offering MSNBC either) everyday.
Hardball and Count Down are the best news and political shows on TV and RADIO. With the 2006 just six weeks away and 2008 presidential election coming, we need access to these shows. Yes, the rest of MSNBC is well medicore, please find a way to get Hardball and Countdown to me!!!!!!
Thanks,
Lynne
The reason I got this thing in the first place was to have ALL the news networks, not the ones they arbrtrarily select. May have to make a Sirius decision soon.
Cancel Hardball during my evening commute......and I cancel my XM subscription. FI MSNBC is a failure in general, at least salvage the few quality - and popular - programs and package them into one of your talk channels.
Eliminating this channel is a bad move because this channel is a good quality channel and alot of people will miss it. Please don't remove it. SAVE MSNBC
