This petition is gather all the twilight fans to let Summit know how unhappy we are with the progress of the New Moon Film.

In the last week, news had been released that:

1. Catherine Hardwicke will no longer be directing New Moon due to scheduling issues.

2. It is rumoured that Chris Weitz, who directed The Golden Compass and About a Boy was asked to direct the film.

3. Summit wants to film both New Moon AND Eclipse, back-to-back to save costs.

4. Summit is planning to have New Moon released in less than one year- November 20th, 2009

5. The rumoured budget for the film is a mere $50 Million- Twilight made the same amount of money in less than one weekend!

6. It is also rumoured that Summit is looking to replace Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black, in order to make the character look "older".

7. Rumours have also been flying around that they want to incorporate more of Edward's character in the film. The absence of Edward however, is the premise of New Moon!

Even though a lot of the news about New Moon are only rumours, it is important to let Summit know the concerns of the fans before they become fact! The twilight series is important to many people, and by displeasing the fans, Summit is creating a huge mistake. The fans are the reason for Twilight's success- angry fans are less likely to see the film, and thus the success of New Moon will suffer.
