You know why anime is considered lame and kiddish and nerdy in America? It's because of companies like 4Kids and ShoPro who rape the original Japanese versions beyond belief. What used to be an action-packed, raunchy and not to mention hilarious anime is now "kid-friendly". Oh goody.

In "Naruto", not only are the voices HORRID (what did they do to Kakashi-san?!), but they took out some of the best scenes in the entire series, i.e. the kiss between Sasuke and Naruto, Kakashi's "Thousand Years of Pain". The blood is air-brushed out as well, and you must wonder what on earth they're going to do in later episodes. If they have to take out half of the show so it would be "kid-friendly", why not just put it on Adult Swim? If "Inuyasha" and "Trigun" (which aren't as violent and suggestive as "Naruto") can make it on Adult Swim, why can't our beloved orange-clad ninja?

In "Tokyo Mew Mew", which is called "Mew Mew Power" on FoxBox (you may now puke), they went as far as changing the main character's name. Ichigo to Zoey? Are you kidding me? Look, American kids can do with a little bit of entertainment that's not 100 percent American!

In "One Piece", there is more name-changing and editing. So Zoro to Zolo isn't that bad, but the thing that irked me the most was the fact that they gave Sanji a frickn' LOLLIPOP instead of a cigarette. If you look at some of the old Looney Toons shows, there's smoking and drinking...and kids watched that stuff!

So everyone, let's get together and save our anime. We want accurate translations and non-edited scenes...not this crap that only five-year-olds would fin entertaining.
