We, the undersigned, are against the proposed budget cuts in the State of Florida that will affect the educational programs like Magnet, Gifted, Athletics, and all programs and activities that are additional to the regular academic curriculum of our Public schools at all levels: Elementary, Middle High School.
We agree that these programs are of paramount importance and a great advantage for all children. At the same time they are a contribution to the community, not only because of the cultural enrichment they provide to the students, but also a key instrument in motivation and as an aid in reducing school desertion, violence, drug problems, etc. We add our voices to others in demanding better funding for our children’s education.
