Hannah Hoyt The best christmas I ever had was when I, at 7 years old, found a beautiful Samantha doll under my tree. Please don't take that wonderful future experience away from the many little girls who have since discovered the American Girl dolls. That doll has become my best friend, as well as the best friend of countless other girls. Don't sacrifice her for the many 'girl of the year' dolls, their boon companions, hairful bitty twins, and modern day dolls that are being made. They will never be as magical as a true classic American Girl doll like Samantha.
