Everyone, it is with great sadness that I must form this petition. If you do not know already, the St. Edward's Cross-Country team has been officially disbanded. There was no warning, nor any indication that anything was amiss. No clear answer was given, and the team was told that the budget, among other things, was to blame. I know many people have said that petitioning for the team is a lost cause, but I do not care. I intend to go down fighting. I will be civil, I will be respectful, but I cannot allow my team, indeed members of my second family, be taken away from me. I create this group in order to protest the destruction of something I love: the team I run with. I create this group to protest the dissolution of the relationships that I have formed which will undoubtedly come about as a result of the destruction of my team. I merely love running, and I love each and every one of my teammates. I am committed to doing whatever it takes to raise the necessary funds, fill out paperwork, etc. I just want to run with my team.
