Here in Australia, cats are being terribly mistreated. There have been recent news reports about a cat who was doused in petrol and set on fire (burns to %30 of his body and a 50/50 chance of survival), a stray kitten who was stoned, kicked, stomped on, run over by bicycles and thrown on train tracks. This kind of cruelty to harmless, defenceless and innocent kittens and cats disgusts me. And even more recently, a man was jailed for beating his cat to death for "meowing too much". Then, the PETA was angered by a website called www.bonsaikitten.com. It is sickening that anyone could find it funny.
