To anyone affiliated with the recent change in format of 106.7, including those who run the station itself:

We, the loyal fans of 106.7 The Drive, are requesting that the station be returned to its original format. Lots of people across Metro Detroit held this station close to their heart and were crushed when the format was changed to country.

We feel that the unwarranted change in the format was not justified, being that so many people loved the station. For decades, teenage kids and adults have needed anthems to live by and have something to love and believe in. These days it is no different. Rock music is just as important to people and, in most cases, it is their livelihood. By taking away a station that plays rock music by such classic artists as Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and Rush, among others, you are taking away part of the inspiration and passion that lives inside fans of rock.

In summary, we feel that 106.7 was fine just the way it was. We hope that you are able to see that the change to country has upset many people, and, in some ways, has taken away a part of rock fans in Metro Detroit.

What the heck happened to the drive. The best rock station ever in the history of the motor city. Remember "2005 the year of the drive" whats this "2006 the year we play tricks(on our listeners)" come on guys! Enough with this crappy country music, we want The Drive back!!!

I'm from Southwestern Ontario, and after moving to Windsor, I discovered this excellent radio station in Detroit, 106.7 The Drive. Finally, a radio station that plays 'good' classic rock compared to the mix of music I'm accustomed to in my region. I would tell others to tune in to the Drive. I even have it streamed on my computer. Since it changed its format, I no longer have it bookmarked. Please return this station to the rock format so that more listeners will tune in.

Taking off the Drive is really pathetic. There is all ready to many hillbilly stations to listen to. and they won't even play the old country from the 50's just all of that modern hillbilly junk

I was an exchange student in Fraser, MI in 2003 and 2004. The drive was Metro Detroits best radio station and I enjoyed listening to it beyond my exchange year. A lot of my freinds over here in germany became fans as well and we used to listen to the internet stream a lot. Why did you steal Detroits soul? Give us THE DRIVE back and as we Germans would say "Halts Maul und Rocke"
