I think The O.C. should keep running as a show. Of course when making a big decision like, killing of a main/favorite on a show can increasingly drop a shows ratings. I believe the year after will always be a difficult one, although I think people will definably start tuning in again. Cutting Season 4 down to a measly 16 episodes is understandable. If the network (FOX) isn't willing to stand by a show that has gained them more income than most of their shows then, I think Josh Schwartz should find a new network willing to support. I know many people that love this show and were simply shocked by Marissa Cooper/Mischa Bartons exiting the show with a bang. The real fans will be back.
