I support this petition. After a rocky 5th season, diehard fans stuck with the show and now that it's getting interesting you want to cancel it?!?!?!? The show can't continue without John Spencer?!?!?! Let this be John Spencer's legacy and continue the show through the Santos Presidency and allow for further character development of Donna, Josh, and the gang...and maybe CJ as VP?

It is easily the best show on tv and has been ever since it began. I don't think there has been a show that makes me think as much as this one. And not just about politics. It would be a great loss not to continue it.

This is the most intelligent show that has graced our airwaves in years. I cannot believe that anyone in their right mind would deprive the public of this fantasic piece of art.
I barely have even caught a more then a slight eye's turn.
But at each eye lash I blow, I am smitten by the genius that is the West Wing.
I have learned so much, just from the tidbit's I have come in contact with.
The show need's to stay on, despite crappy ratings or whatever the cause.
T.V should not be about making money, it should be about learning how to make money.
Use the actor's, to the best of the talent. The best of the rest, and survive the ultimate time test.
Keep it on, for just one more season, and ill run to school tommorow, on no sleep.

I was just getting ready to install cable TV so I could watch The West Wing every week. (I don't have a TV hooked up in my home right now, but was considering a change so I could see this wonderful program. I have watched rerun after rerun on Bravo when I am pet-sitting. I have literally laughed and cried. The writing is, for the most part, inspired AND inspiring. When I get "burned out" on fighting for my political causes a good dose of West Wing cures what ails me. It reminds me of the great importance of true leadership, teamwork, and infusing politics with spirit and honorable intentions to affect the public good. It would be a shame to cancel such a wonderful program and replace it with the usual "stuff" seen on TV. Engender more interest by running a "marathon" of 7th season episodes; have viewers "vote" for Santos or his opponent; write one more season and wind everything up really well. This intelligent, well-acted show deserves the very best and this viewer regrets greatly that NBC "misunderestimate s" the interest of intelligent viewers in this show. Keep at least one night television great. And stop switching the time slot!

Please PLEASE don't cancel this show. The new actors have just begun to find their place and although the post-sorkin WW had its rough patches it is picking up steam again. I love this show and I look forward to it every week. PLEASE ONE MORE SEASON!!
I watch very little television and West Wing is one of the few shows that I find stimulating as well as entertaining. I would be extremely disappointed if it was cancelled. Please support your loyal viewers by continuing the show. Zina Rosen-Simon
I support this petition. One of the few intellegent, entertaining shows on television. Difficult to understand how they would keep 3 now 4 versions of Law and Order and take off West Wing. There is nothing else like it on TV as illustrated by the many emmys it has won. It is great high quality TV!
I support this petition. This is the best show in at least 20 years.. it deserves to go on. There is a reason so many people were stunned to learn it was cancelled. A show with such high quality acting, writing, and relevance to our world is rare to say the least. This show is not only great television but inspires people to get involved in politics and to learn more about important issues. Please save the show, or as others said, a spin off show with the new administration, with the direction of the show similar to what is in place now.
Moving West Wing to Sunday nights was poor planning. The only good television is on Sunday nights and shows are conflicting with one another. I agree that there should be at least one more season with the new administration.
