This is a wonderful show and always has been. I understood your reasons to cancel in the first place, but with the new cast and storylines that can arise from the new situations, this show deserves at least one more year to let this administration hit its stride.
We want to see a Santos administration with Vinick as Secretary of State. You've already saved the show by allowing it to change. Don't end it now. It's just starting again!
I can't believe that you're taking off the best show on the air. It's the one show where you have to actually pay attention to follow the action. It's witty, informative and just great entertainment. Don't be swayed by those who stretch their IQs to the limit just to follow reality tv.
This show has been the smartest show on TV in years. Not only does it entertain you, it educates you about the way the real "west ring' works. I was not crazy about the new story line of the election-it's hard to beat the chemistry of Martin Sheen, John Spencer and bradley whitford, but once I gave the new story line a chance I got hooked again. I mourn the loss of John Spencer who was an exceptional actor. Please give this one more chance.

because it is unbelievable that they cancel the shows that actually mean something to people. Can we cancel some the "reality shows" that are out there. Give us Drama and Sitcoms anyday. Also, if they would stop moving shows around on the schedule, people might stick with them.
this is one of the rare intelligent shows on TV. Is has been rejuvenated this year and it deserves another chance to catch on with the American public.
Please give us at least one more year! I thought I wouldn't come to care about the new "administration" like I did the Bartlet White House, but I was wrong. I'm still hooked, and so are my family and friends.
there is hunger for a smartly crafted show following the policial nature of America. More importantly, you will continue to make money on this show, and revenues should increase with a partly new cast that will infuse new life into the seriew.
West Wing is one of the very few interesting shows on TV. The campaign segments were I think what caused the dip in ratings. The new shows have been right up with what they used to be. Please keep it on.
There are very few intelligent shows left on TV. The new cast of West Wing is just as interesting as the previous and the new administration will offer new story lines. It’s unfortunate that quality television is lost to simple and inexpensive reality shows and games shows, that do little to challenge their audience.
I am a loyal and faithful watcher of this show. For 7 years I have watched every episode.Just when its starting to get good it gets canceled. I have grown to love the actors as well as the characters on the show. Please don't cancel The West Wing.
West Wing is getting better and better each week. I can not understand why NBC would not give it another season. Smits is great, and Alda adds a wonderful counter. It would be great watching the new family deal with the whole White House living issues, and seeing Smits run the country. So many great parts have been created, we must get to see them play out!
Without doubt the best show on television. The new agenda, new cast members and the return of the old cast makes for compeling, highly provacative, timely and important programming. Please please please do not cancel this show.
Please don't cancel West Wing. The new cast and characters are great. I like that is not a re-hash of the previous show. it is educational and entertaining. You've got a great opportunity to really conjecture to explore what government could be, good AND bad.
I support the petition because the show has "new life" with a great cast & terrific writing. It's a show with thought provoking ideas. The show did get "tired" but is now infused with new life and a great cast. PLEASE RECONSIDER - I wait for this show every week. the news of the series cancellation and the now completed election have infused new life into show. It is back to being as compelling as it originally was with the possibility for new cast members and additional, groundbreaking subject matter for new shows.
One of the few shows that actually requires close attention,has inteligent dialog and extremely interesting characters people who tend to soothe us during these politically troubled times.
The West Wing was my sole justification for getting Tivo! Now I am out a lifetime subscription. You can't quit now! I just saw tonight's episode and am now crying that I won't get to see how Pres. Santos and SoS Vinick resolve Kasikstan! Keep this show on the air!!!
I can't beleive you would cancel this show. I have watched west wing from the first episode and believe it an even better show now. Alan Alda is fantastic as is the entire cast. Making Alan Alda the Sec of State was brillinat!

for many reasons, but the biggest reason is that the show seems to be going back to its roots and is creating real drama. I mean come on Arnie as the Sec of State. That is an amazing story line and has so much possibility. Don't quit now!!!
this is the BEST show on tv...nothing compares. Please keep this show running...it is your only hope for survival. Forget about The Office and Earl...keep the good stuff.
This is my wife and my favorite series. The West Wing is still one of the top 3 dramas on TV. It's also the best program on NBC. It had a great audience prior to being moved to Sunday nights. Perhaps a better time slot would help in regaining a wider audience. In any case, the new cast & premise show great promise. It's a GREAT show. Please keep it on the air.
One of the best shows on network TV...Please don't cancel the show. Do better ad spots for the show, leave it in the same time spot, and get better media coverage...do it and they will watch!
Please don't take the only show off TV that makes my kids think. We need more educational programs like this one. We even went to WASHINGTON DC last month because of the show.
This is the best show on TV, with a new cast, war in central asia, Secretary of State Vinick, and much, much more, this show is just getting better. Now all you all will do is put more bad reality TV back on. All NBC needs to do is give it a good time, and the viewers will increase. ER is doing good, move that to Sundays, and put TWW, on Thursdays, and the viewership will increase, if you give us another season. Please, this has given me my political 'fix', for the last seven years, and I do not want it to leave.
My wife and I are hooked again - you are bringing back the right actors and setting the stage for another 1 or more seasons. Good work. We can't wait until your announcement comes out.

Please don't take the only adult programming on in this time slot. You have a great cast for the next 4 years. We don't want Alan Alda and Jimmy Smits to disappear from, nor do we want the rest of the cast to fade away. It is a great show. Give us one more season to prove our loayalty.
