It is because schools are publicly owned and operated that our opinions are supressed. It is the existence of tax-financed education that creates the inevitable clash of individual rights.

Our fears are justified! The limits to freedom of expression are growing lesser and lesser as time goes by! When can we be heard in our schools?

The heavy tax burden for public education effectively limits the schooling choices for many people. Though they might like their child to attend a private school, many parents cannot afford to pay twice for one education. In short, many children are forced to attend public schools.

Ending coercion in schooling would go a long way toward demonstrating our understanding of and commitment to freedom. A truly free education would eliminate a major source of conflict and injustice in our society.

When i get on a site on my on free time, not even in class. I sometimes get this thing on my screeen that says "SCHOOL WORK ONLY" just outa the blue* invasion of privecy? to certain extent schools SHOULD watch over an LIMIT the sites we go to. but not take away anything that is`nt school related...

I happen to be a major player in our school newspaper, as i run the section on video games. I can no longer review games like Harry Potter. This has gone too far. Freedom should be enforced.

Freedom of speech is important to everyone. It is not right for someone to tell another that they are happy when they are not. When they want something and simply can't ask. For what word is right and what words are wrong. That is just not right and that delivers us away from our own freedom, just having your brain and lack of voice box in a cellar to be kept rotten. No, Freedom of Speech is and should stay, not be banned!

I was in my schools debate team (only to get lessons off) and, I was told, on numerous occasions, that what I thought coudn't be said. They were stifling my opinions, for a less controversial view of lifee. Banning school censorship will benefit us, for once.

Banning school censorship will be good for us students. Those of us who sit in class and think this is nice and aren't worried for the real world need to wake up. putting censorship in a school just boosts those thoughts of " nothing bad will ever happen" because things may never be hwat they appear.

Free speech! No one should have the right to tell anyone what they can and cannot say! Schools are trying to control our very thoughts in that way!
