Year after year, someone is molested or abused at the physical hands of a hypnotist. However, there is an alternative.

Hypnosis is nothing more than words being spoken in a logical order to a listener. If it's just words, why the hell are they not written down and delivered to the intended listener in advance, in the form of a legally-binding contract so that both the reader and the listener are fully apprised of all intentions and purposes of the session?

I have personally spent over twenty-two years doing strictly volunteer work as an experimental hypnotist developing a contractual method that demands total disclosure up front. I have placed this method, and the terminology "scrypnosis," into the international public domain (PD). Scrypnosis is NOT a trademark. It is a word that describes the method it employs. You can find the method's PD declaration at the USENET archive at Google (groups.google.com) by searching for the word "scrypnosis".

People need to be protected.

Do you know, in Washington State, all it takes to become a Licensed Hypnotherapist is to pass a four-hour AIDS/HIV awareness class and have a background check? That's all. There is no standardized method to dissecting what is a tangible and safe delivery system for hypnosis.

Therefore, I am petitioning that we demand that scrypnosis become the only legally-defined method to hypnosis delivery. It is a full-disclosure approach that leaves nothing to chance or trust after the fact, for if whomever is performing the script changes even one word, you will instantly know. That is the type of protection and control that is needed to protect the general public.
