I have lost 2 family members in car accidents. One was a DUI incident. The driver was my ex-husband. Though he is not a part of my life anymore, I know he and his family will always be deeply scarred my this. The other was my mother-in-law, and her premature loss was unbearable.As a mother, I want to think that people like this only get one stike, then they're out of the game. There is no room in society for any form of tolerance on this issue. Too many people's lives are ruined as a result of such an avoidable thing. With all of the diseases, natural disasters, and pain in the world that can't be avoided, there is no excuse for those that cause additional peril.Thank God nobody was hurt or killed-this time.
