Soldiers are dying so that we may have free, fair and democratic elections. Are you not even going to investigate the rape of democracy that appears to have taken place last election day?
This is your duty.
This is your obligation.
George Bush talks about the importance of his faith as a source for guidance.
How am I to have Faith in my elected officials when I have no Faith in the apparatus that brings them to power.
The system is broke if nothing else and the last election was fraught with suspicious activity.
As you and I know this is apparent to anyone who investigates the facts and the statistical analysis. ( namely in Ohio ) History will prove this to be true with or without you.
I plead with you to do what is right. To do what is needed for the millions of American who daily are losing their FAITH in the system that chooses their
leaders.
Thank You

Dear Senator,
I am by nature a skeptic. So, when the irregularities began to surface in my home state of Ohio, I passed them off as human error. "There's no way," I said, "that our elected officials would deliberately rig the vote!" But, the irregularities just kept coming in, day after day, a mountain of them, until it began to look very much like outright fraud. Then I remembered what happened in Florida in 2000, and had to wonder if those really were our "elected" officials. Our Secretary Of State, J. Kenneth Blackwell is behaving like a common criminal. Why would he duck every attempt to set the record straight, if he didn't have dark secrets to hide?
Now, I am learning that the same situation occurred in Florida - again! I've heard it said, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." If I am finally waking up, rest assured that there are many more like me, who are beginning to realize that American Democracy is dangerously close to giving up the ghost.
Joseph Stalin said, ""It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything."
I implore you to contest the electoral votes for this 2004 presidential election. There were too many suspect occurrences in too many states, to actually call this an honest election. Lets not follow in the footsteps of Joseph Stalin. We have come too far to embrace fascism now. The rest of the world is watching us. Without honest elections, we are no longer free, nor can we even hope to be a beacon of democracy to other nations.
Sincerely,
Mary Stewart

The 2004 election did a great job of confirming our suspicions of the 2000 election. The voters of the United States are now aware and we are angry. We are looking for a hero in the Senate, who is not afraid to stand up and see that justice is done. I am a 61 year old white widow, and I never thought I would experience another revolution in America in my lifetime. But, there are thousands of us who sadly realize we can no longer choose our own representatives in this government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
This is a grave issue and it will not go away on it's own. There is unrest among the masses, among the "Joe Lunch-buckets" of America. Unless a leader steps up to the plate now, we will no doubt be marching behind other leaders. I am too old to march in a revolution, but I wouldn't hesitate if I knew it was the only way to take back our democracy. I sincerely urge you to contest the certification of electoral votes in the 2004 presidential election, especially in Ohio and Florida. You have the power to take back our democracy for us. This may be the single most important decision you have ever made. Let it be the right one.
Thank you,

Please, Senators, protect our democracy. The electronic voting machines anointed us Kings and Generals, not elected leaders. We need our votes to count.
If, thruough election fraud, we lose the ability to vote out of office the radical right wing that controls so much of our government, then all other progressive causes are moot. Please take a stand now before it's too late.
The great English Statesman Benjamin Disaraeli commented: "For evil to flourish it is enough that good men do nothing."
The essence of democracy is the confidence of the electorate in the accuracy of voting methods and the fairness of voting procedures. --Rep. John Conyers, Jr., MI
I urge all of you not to certify the vote until all investagations are done.

Please help us protect our democracy. As a middle-class american with little influence, I am depending on you to make sure every vote counts.
Thank you,

Senators,
Please have a conscience and do the right thing for the future of our great country!
Contest the certification of Ohio and Florida electoral votes until all the hearings and recounts are completed. Let all votes be counted fairly.
If the Democrats don't stand up now you might as well say goodbye to your party in the future.
Thankyou, ME. Flannery
Dear Senator,
You took an oath to defend and protect the Constitution of the United States from its enemies both foreign and domestic. On January 6th your sincerity and commitment to that oath will be tested. And history will judge you by your actions.
There is abundant evidence of election irregularities that bring into question whether the electors from Ohio were lawfully chosen and lawfully seated, based on numerous errors, improprieties and voter complaints.
Evidence continues to mount indicating that even the Ohio recount is being thwarted by election officials brazenly engaged in a cover-up designed to destroy the random nature of the recount, as well as its accuracy, reliability and trustworthiness.
If a President can be selected in this country as a result of unlawful conduct, then the rule of law, and with it the root of our democracy, has ceased to exist.
It is your duty to challenge the vote of the Ohio (and Florida) electors for President or Vice President of the United States, and to accept the vote of the electors who were lawfully chosen by the voters of the State of Ohio, who are committed to voting for John F. Kerry and John Edwards as President and Vice President of the United States respectively.
History will judge you by whether you honor your duty. This is something for which you will have to answer not only to the people of the United States, and to your constituents, but to your own families, your children and grandchildren, and to your own conscience.
I implore you to do your duty in defense of democracy. Do not allow our "government of the people, by the people, and for the people" to perish from the Earth. Stand up to defend our great nation which introduced democracy to the modern world.
Sincerely,
Richard C. Moon
Our Democracy depends on an honest election. Let's take it out of the hands of computers being dishonestly programmed, or at the very least, inadvertently programmed to give erroneous results

Our country was founded on the basis of freedom. The freedom and right to vote has been sacred to all Americans. How can we help other countries hold "free and accurate" elections, when our administration is turning it's back on proven voter fraud and blatant manipulation of voting machines and practices?
Our very democracy is at stake. How can we be so quick to condemn the Ukaine when our 2004 election was so fraudulent? You and other Democratic senators are the next targets!
Is this America? Our Democracy is being raped and the ignorant and arrogant stand alone. Silently, our people wait for true leadership...
Will anyone answer our screams for help?
With peace and hope,

I urge you to stand up for the American voter, and do not certify this election with so many unanswered questions. I expect that any "voting shenanigans" would be unacceptable to you and your colleagues, and hope that Democrats AND Republicans will get involved to make this a bipartisan effort, and not just a "bunch of sore losers" whining. We can tolerate the loss. What we can not tolerate is electoral chicanery.
You took an oath to defend and protect the Constitution of the United States, part of that oath is to make sure all our votes count. You have the obligation to make sure that our elections are as democratic as those in Ukraine.
Please tell me why in countries such as Canada and Sweden, they do not have voting "irregularities", voting registration manipulations, "lockdowns", centralized tabulation systems subject to tampering, malfunctioning equipment in strategically-placed counties, and widespread Exit Poll disparities that all favor just 1 candidate.
If the United States wants to be a democracy YOU HAVE TO INVESTIGATE THIS. THIS HAS TO STOP and the true intent of the voter needs to prevail in 2004. If, as a United States Senator, you cannot stand up now for democracy then what purpose are you serving?
"The right of voting for representatives is the primary right by which all other rights
are protected. To take away this right is to reduce a man to slavery.."
-Thomas Paine
I feel very strongly this is the right thing for you to do. It does require tremendous courage. You may be fearful of political repercussions, but I urge you to refuse to certify the election and to demand complete and thorough recounts or even new elections.
Please don't certify this fraudulant election. Take time to look at the evidence. Help our country, our democracy, our troops, our sacred right to vote, and our world by looking at the evidence. God bless America.

The disenfranchisement of African-American voters in Ohio
is shameful, and documented allegations of election fraud in Ohio, Florida and New Mexico must be investigated.
Please stand with Conyers on January 6, 2005!
It is obvious and troubling that there is significant tampering with votes again (2000 & 2004). We CAN'T have a president who would do that or a Congress that would allow it.
We should have the same rights as someone in the Ukraine. A clear paper trail that can be checked for election fraud. This issue affects all Americans. I can tell you that if Kerry had one the election, the Republicans would be out there demanding recounts. Why aren't we?
If there is so much doubt about the legitimacy of this election, how could you not demand a full investigation before certifying this or any other
election? God help us!!! Please, will you?
Over the past several years, it has become increasingly harder to trust if our votes are actually being tallied properly, especially when we have CEO's of companies who are building the voting machines making comments such as "I look forward to delivering the election to our president".
How is it that comments such as this do NOT raise any kinds of red flags in Congress?
I am one of many very angry Ohioans who I will pass this petition onto. Certifying the electoral votes amidst the blatant fraud and disenfranchisement means the end of a true democracy.
Furthermore, I ask you to sponsor or co-sponsor legislation demanding Ohio conduct a full, statewide manual revote for President and Vice President to be held on January 15, 2005.
Due to RAMPANT FRAUD documented in the Ohio vote and elsewhere, it is essential that members of the Senate join with at least 14 members of the House to refuse to certify the results of the November 2, 2004 vote. You promised to represent and look out for the best interests of the American people. Please, STAND UP AND BE COUNTED. It's the right thing to do.
This is not about Kerry. This is not about Bush. This is not about Republicans or Democrats. This is not Red vs Blue. This is about the survival of constitutional government. The cancer of vote fraud will consume us all, regardless of political persuasion.
