I would hope that you all will stand up together and I am wondering why every single US Senator, especially Democrats, would not stand up with you when the future of democracy is at stake. What are you there for if not to protect that?
It seems strange to me that the USA sends representatives to other countries to "oversee" their elections but we do not keep the same high standards here at home. Please do what you can to rectify this discrepancy. Thank you.
When I spoke with undecided or infrequent voters during this campaign, I convinced some to vote who felt that their votes would never really be counted, that the elections were not really fair and open. They and all of us have been betrayed if we accept this election, with its "irregularities", inequities and fraud that have not been addressed. Where are you Democrats? Please do not be invisible in this fight. Please do not certify the election. It was not free and fair, and the implications are dire.
As the former role model for democracy globally, the United States of America has a lot of work to do to regain its image and stature. This action would mark a major start towards that goal.
Please do not certify the election!!! Bush needs to be impeach, reacalled or whatever will get him out of office. He's has us in a illegal war for his own revenge motives and isn't fit to hold any public office!
Dear Senator,
You took an oath to defend and protect the Constitution of the United States from its enemies both foreign and domestic. On January 6th your sincerity and commitment to that oath will be tested. And history will judge you by your actions.
There is abundant evidence of election irregularities that bring into question whether the electors from Ohio were lawfully chosen and lawfully seated, based on numerous errors, improprieties and voter complaints.
Evidence continues to mount indicating that even the Ohio recount is being thwarted by election officials brazenly engaged in a cover-up designed to destroy the random nature of the recount, as well as its accuracy, reliability and trustworthiness.
If a President can be selected in this country as a result of unlawful conduct, then the rule of law, and with it the root of our democracy, has ceased to exist.
It is your duty to challenge the vote of the Ohio (and Florida) electors for President or Vice President of the United States, and to accept the vote of the electors who were lawfully chosen by the voters of the State of Ohio, who are committed to voting for John F. Kerry and John Edwards as President and Vice President of the United States respectively.
History will judge you by whether you honor your duty. This is something for which you will have to answer not only to the people of the United States, and to your constituents, but to your own families, your children and grandchildren, and to your own conscience.
I implore you to do your duty in defense of democracy. Do not allow our "government of the people, by the people, and for the people" to perish from the Earth. Stand up to defend our great nation which introduced democracy to the modern world.
Sincerely,
Courtland A. McDonald
Stand together! Be brave! There are too many irregularities to certify this election. In the name of our Awesome country, please search your soul and do the right thing. CONTEST THE VOTE!!!! Thanks for listening and Happy New Year.
If the Ukrainian citizens can have a revote due to election fraud - then the United States can certainly have one as well. We deserve to have faith in our democracy - and the confidence that the system of voting is fair. THIS ELECTION WAS NOT!
Please, please preserve our democracy. This past election was blatantly stolen. Citizens like myself voted you into office so that you would follow your conscience and protect their rights. Please stop this stolen election from being approved by the electors.
Prove we still have a democracy. Stand up against all the irregularities until every elected official or person who obstructed or tampered with this election is held accountable. Prove the software used to count the majority of our votes was accurate and fair. Demand the release of the raw exit poll data. In a democracy, we deserve no less.
I was a decorated member of the U.S. Air Force for seven years, including the period of the first Gulf War. I served my county to protect the freedoms and rights of all Americans.
I call on my Senators to act now to protect our right to vote and to have our votes counted in a free and fair election.
Do not certify the presidential election on January 6, 2005. Investigate the signs of rampant fraud and voter manipulation in Ohio, Florida and New Mexico.
This has to be dealt with THIS TIME! What am I to teach my children about their responsibilty as an citizen to vote if their's may not even count when they do! Please do not certify this election. Something drastic needs to happen so that people will have the will to deal with this problem!

Please do not certify the electoral count until a open, fair, and thorough investigation is completed regarding all of the irrigularities. Democracy and freedom should mean one person, one countable by paper vote (not a touch screen computer that has no paper trail). Thank You for your courage and consideration.
In the 2000 presidential election the case establishing malfeasance on the part of Floida's governor and secretary of state was solid and no US senator had the courage to act on that information. Please don't certify the 2004 results and allow a second election process to remain uninvestigated. This republic is finished if vote results are inauthentic and only big money shapes national policies.
I didn't serve in the United States military to made a slave to an unelected fascistic police state. I am sorely perplexed at having the resources of this nation subverted by the criminal element now in control. This is a start- but you need to seriously charge, impeach, prosecute, and imprison all who are involved-especially the pretender president about to steal the office(again!). Make some laws that will have voting machine programs tested for real- and also don't give those contracts for the machines to "ex-spooks". Most of todays machines are made by people heavily involved in intelligence activities. Stop the damned creeping fascism!
Please don't let the voters down. Just one Senator is needed to join Congressional members who are challenging this election. Don't let 2000 happen all over again!
I was in software quality assurance for over 25 years, a manager for 20. I know too well how easy it is for software to malfunction by accident or by design, and I believe the voting machines have neither been designed nor tested to a point of trustworhiness.
Please stand up and protect the rights of the citizens of the US and do not certify the election in Ohio until the legitimate questions about the validity of the election have been fully investigated. Thank you.
The actions of the Senators revealed in Farenheit 911 were a disgrace to this country. I hope that the Senate will not again besmirch itself in the 2004 elections.
Please fully investigate the enormous problems in the vote for president in November, 2004. There are too many unanswered questions to call this a free and fair election when so many were not afforded the opportunity to vote or to have their votes counted!
2000 election was questionable...no one stood up. 2004 election questionable ,people are starting to stand up. We all must take a stand and unite ,democracy is at stake.Contest the Ohio electors on Jan.6,2005
"Cowardice asks the question, 'Is it safe?'
Expediency asks the question,'Is it politic?'
Vanity asks the question, "Is it popular?'
But conscience asks the question, 'Is it right?'
And there comes a time when one must take a position
that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular but because
conscience tells one it is right."
-Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr
