As elected officials you have a fiduciary obligation to protect the voting process. Certification of the November 2004 election is not a matter of choice or of political expediency. "We the people" speak through our votes, and there is ample evidence that our voices were stifled illegally by various means in this election. To be silent when asked to examine possible election fraud is to be complicit in the theft of our democracy. Your integrity is being tested.
I pray for the courage of our Congressmen and women to protect our beloved American Democracy and its honest and fair elections. Please do not certify th 2004 election until all votes have been fairly counted, all machines thoroughly inspected to insure there have been no mistakes or fraud involved. The American people deserve to be throoughly satisfied that our electoral system is in no way flawed.
Please do not certify the results of our most recent election. Electronic voting machine makers and GOP campaign contributers Diebold and ESS? The Republican financed campaigns to disenfranchise voters across the country? The widespread discarding of absentee and paper ballots whose choices don't serve the wishes of certain election officials? We must restore integrity to our elections. It is the future of our children and our country that is at stake. PLEASE don't certify these fraudulent election results.. again!
If election fraud has occurred we need to know. Otherwise the term democracy is a deceit--and we are in worse trouble than it already seems. If there are no significant problems, so much the better. But there is sufficient evidence to the contrary to warrant an investigation. The consequences for doing nothing are enormous.
20% of Americans recently polled feel that the election was maniuplated and stolen. This certainly is more than just a few "fringe dissidents." We are mainstream Americans. If thousands of votes have been manipulated especially in swing states, our Democracy has failed! Please stand up for the American people and protest the vote on Jan. 6th!
I urge you to be courageous by taking leadership and refusing to certify the results of the presidential election of 2004. I also urge you to voice open support for any formal objections from the House of Representatives and to sign with them if any House members challenge the 2004 presidential election.

How can any Democratic Senator IGNORE the pleas of the people to NOT Certify this fraudlet election in 2004. The stakes are too high to ignore the people's calls for justice this election cycle. Please be a hero this year and not a face on a future documentary.

If elections are going to mean anything to the future of democracy, then all votes must be treated as sacred and as the basis of our system. All legitimate votes must be counted. I emplore you to not let our system down. Vote for all votes to be important, relevant and respected.
Please act to save our democracy by not certifying the presidential election results of 2004 until all outstanding vote recounts throughout the nation are completed, and there is a full investigation of alleged election fraud in Ohio, Florida, New Mexico and other states of the U.S.
If we cannot depend upon the veracity of our voting system, we are no better than a third world country. I urge you to do everything in your power to assure the American people of the truth of the democratic process by challenging any instance of seeming election fraud no matter the degree or extent of such possible action.

I think that this election, like the Last election IS full of errors. When are the votes in which all of the people fighting for our country in Iraq, and ALL over the world going to be counted!
As much as we would like closure and to see the forward movement of our government, we can not have closure until an honest accounting has been taken of the people's choice and a sence of legitimacy is attached to the election results.
I have been a faithful voter throughout my life, but this last election leaves me feeling as though I should never bother to vote again. If the party that steals the most votes wins, what's the point? Convince me there really is a thread of democracy left in this country.

The FBI should investigate complaints of fraud and RICO violations and Senator Jeffords, the only independent in the Senate, should oppose certification.

Watching members of the Congressional Black Caucas vainly trying to get the support of just one senator to challenge the 2000 election in Farenheit 911 was a spectacle that put our government to shame. It is a national disgrace that George W. was allowed to steal that election. If there is any honor and integrity in our Senate today, he must not be allowed to steal another.
If there are no free elections, there is no democracy. One fifth of the people in this country think, given discrepencies between the exit polls and the vote tallies, sworn affidavits by those who have witnessed fraud, numerous complaints of voter disenfranchisement, statistical analyses showing the impossibility of the vote numbers, and the use of hackable machines owned by partisan republicans,that the election was stolen. We have no faith in our voting system as it is. We do not accept the current occupant of the White House as our elected president. Please refuse to certify the results of the 2004 presidential election on jan. 6th and ask for a revote. The recount will not do, it has been tampered with.

It is inconceivable to me, given the widespread vote suppression, fraud, uncounted ballots, and on an on in the 2004 presidential election that any elected official could certify this election. Our national system of vote tabulation is flawed. There are far too many methods and opportunities to tamper with vote tallies in local voting districts. Please do whatever necessary to create a format that is consistent throughout America and where creating fraudulent election

If the people of the Ukraine can manage to peacefully address and rectify a corrupt election, why cannot "the greatest democracy on earth"? If the government of Venezuela can provide voting machines with verifiable printouts throughout its country, why cannot the US, with all its wealth and technological capabilities? We are shamed by their examples, and ought to have the humility to learn from them, immediately.

Senators, if you do not challenge these 2004 election results, I, a young 22-year old may never have the confidence to vote in another U.S. election because I will have no faith in our system or in our ideals of "democracy." I think this is horrible considering I am an educated college graduate. Think of all the "silent majority" who are even more pessismistic than me. If you do anything for me as a constituent in your lifetime, make it this.
I lived in Spain under Generalissimo Franco for nearly 10 years (1966 - 1975)and know firsthand what a fascist dictatorship is. I made sure that my daughter, born abroad, had a U.S. passport and always believed it to be her ticket to "freedom." Never could I have anticipated (and what irony) that it is in fact, because she is a dual national, her SPANISH passport that spells freedom for her today. Spain transformed itself from a fascist dictatorship into a progressive democracy peacefully and overnight.There was no blood shed. We, on the other hand, in America, have transformed ourselves from a democracy into a corrupt, fascist state. Please do the right thing and fight for our right to vote, the most sacred right of all, I implore you.

There are too many reports of voters who tried repeatedly to vote for Kerry only to have the touch screen indicate Bush, for there to be any confidence in the re-election of Bush. The exit polls that are used by the US to determine the validity of election results in other countries; indicated in the US election of 2004 there are issues that need to be scrutinized before Bush is declared the winner. Other points of concern included the fact that in Ohio many people waited hours to vote due to limited availability of voting machines in some precincts, and too many left before they voted after waiting seven to eleven hours to vote. I think that a revote in Ohio is called for because the legitimacy of the recount is questionable at best.
I could continue passionately ad nauseum but I hope you will not allow this blow to the democratic process to transpire. Bush is not the next president according to the will of the american people.
