It is no wonder that Americans have become increasingly aware of emigration. They seek the solid moral nation that America is no longer.
Democracy has not been served, deceit has been evident in elections and Republican press that wrongfully manipulated and cheated the American public. This is a gravely serious manner, and on behalf of myself and others, implore the politicians to right the situation, for the sake of our world and a hopeful future for humanity.
This is two Presidential elections in a row that have shaken loose credibility on the part of informed citizens. Enough already. Revive our democracy before it dies. Challenge the election and be a true patriot!
We cannot allow this fraud to go unchallenged. Please take a stand and do not certify this bogus election. It is at a point where I am ashmed to be an American. I would like to believe there is hope that this can change. Thank you.
Please allow us the same rights as the people of the Ukraine have won, open and honest elections. The election on November 2 was not open, as many had to stand in lines for hours to vote (or worse) and appears to not have been honest, as events uncovered in Ohio continue to attest.
Please stand and demand a national recount / revote and ethical resolution.
I for one (and I know I am not alone) am much more concerned about ALL the votes being counted than the vote being certified "on schedule"...let democracy take priority!
Not only should this election be contested because of all the "irregularities" but legislation should be initiated immediately to take vote counting out of the hands of private companies.
Take Diebold, ESS, Sequoia and all the other vote counting companies out of the loop. Private companies have no business counting our votes!
Please don't let this election be stolen. We are counting on you to be our heroes and heroines for democracy. We are with you, and will help as much as we can! As difficult as it will be to withstand the slings and arrows of the republican attack machine, it seems to be the only hope for our country, and possibly the entire world. We thank you for your brave and true work in the past, and will stand behind you now!
Please make sure every vote counts and that America's elections are fair, democratic, and verified--even if it is uncomfortable to take a stand at this late date. It's the right thing to do.
The legitimacy of the presidency to the citizens of the United States is at stake in your decision. Evident election fraud and voter disenfranchisement as well as the statistical impossibility of the results in relation to the exit polls require that there be a thorough and non-partisan congressional investigation before certifying the results. Please do the right thing to preserve democracy.

I think that someone should realize that we are on the brink of another American Revolution, OR Civil War. It surely wouldn't take much at this point.

The reason I used the word "revolution" is because we're now answering to yet another "King George."
Nothing less than the difference between democracy and dictatorship is at stake. The move to dictatorship has already begun - national identity cards, assaults on free speech, and much more. PLEASE honor your oath of office and uphold American democracy.
The stories I have heard on the news and read about on the Internet about voting machines being taken out of predominantly Democratic areas and put in Republication areas so as to increase the wait in the Democratic and decrease the wait to vote in the Republician areas is beyond comprehension in the USA. However, with every thing else the Bush and the Republicians have done I really believe this has happened. Bush should be impeached instead to being reelected. Look at all the young men that have been killed due to his and his White House Staff's stupidity and arrogance.
We want answers and we want to know that our vote counts.Please realize that this issue must be dealt with now or there will be little possibility for a truthful election in the future. Thank you .
We need you to do what you were voted in to do. Represent the people! Keep democracy alive in the U.S. Be sure that everyone has a fair opportunity to vote, and that every vote is counted. This didn't happen in November 2000 or 2004. Make it happen now!

I join with those Americans who wonder how the exit polls can be so far off from the reported figures of this 2004 Presidential election, and request that you, as our representatives, have the courage this time to stand up and NOT certify this election until a full investigation into the numerous reports of voting violations in states such as Ohio, Florida, and New Mexico is completed. If the Ukraine can contest their questionable election, we, as the supposed freeist nation in the world, should be able to question and demand a recount into our Presidential Election that has already been stolen ONCE before from the lack of courage of any of our Senators to do the bidding of the people who have elected YOU.
President Bush, speaking of the election in the Ukraine, said that no election should be certified if there were any outstanding allegations of fraud. That same reasoning should apply in the US as well as in the Ukraine.
Please step up to the plate and DEMAND a recount! Democracy is what our country was founded on, yet recent evidence and claims suggest that this *freedom* is being challenged. We need to fight back if there is any doubt of the election being "fixed" as it will inevitably lead to diminished faith in the electoral process. Let's remember what makes our country great and NEVER let anything(or anyone) challenge our democractic "voice"!
Please do not certify the election of President Bush on Jan.6. Too many questions exist about the validity of the election in Ohio. Blackwell must be made to answer questions.

I think that our democracy is being challenged. It is being challenged by misguiding the American People into believing things that are partially or completely false. When these things affect large amounts of people, it becomes a more serious issue. The Presidential Elections is probably one of the most important times to not misguide or misinform the American People since the outcome of the election will affect, not only America, but the world as a whole. Every vote needs to count and if there is any doubt to whether a particular area might not have been won by a Presidential candidate, there needs to be extensive work done to ensure that that candidate did, in fact, win that area. Our democracy is at stake. We are not going down the right path, but there is hope to change direction.
Please stand up for our Democracy now. May the history books remember you as the brave ones who sounded the whistle against massive election fraud and awakened the conscience of every American to take our own democracy seriously. Thank you!
Even Ukraine has more thorough election oversight than we do. Do not let this go by passively. There are many people dissatisfied and dissillusioned with our so-called democracy. Please show us that it still is one.
If this election goes unchallenged, Democracy is indeed in peril, if not dead. I have seen & heard enough to believe John Kerry likely won Ohio, and thus the election. How can we let this happen with barely a whimper? As far as I am concerned, the Ukraine deserves a democracy and we DO NOT!!!!! Please stand for us...

I was in Ohio and saw voter intimidation and suppression, first hand. I have followed the reports of fraud and cover-up during the election and throughout the re-count process. This is such a sad spectalce. We Americans are taught that we have the very best democratic practices --- yet we have shown all the world that two presidential elections in a row have been conducted in nasty, anti-democratic fashion. If we are to live in freedom we must have free elections.
What has happened to our American values of honesty, freedom, hard work and compassion for the peoples of the world? Is our country being run by greed and dishonesty? Please stand up to preserve democracy.
Until we change our election system a system that cannot be bought by the highest bidders [ie those who contribute most to the campaigns and lobbyists] we will never have a real democracy. [ A couple of states have already changed.] We also need to switch from a "winner take all" system to a proportional system so we all have some representation in Congress.
Full faith in our elections is the bedrock on which a credible democracy rests. I am not convinced the 2004 elections, most notably in Ohio, were free and fair. I urge you to call for a thorough investigation of the voting irregularities that occurred on November 2. Frankly, having read descriptions of the misapplication of voting assets on election day and other acts of vote suppression, combined with irregularites described in the use of the electronic voting and tabulation machines, and the analysis of the discrepencies between the exit polls and the "official" vote totals, as well as other irregularities, I believe the outcome of the vote is in doubt.
I urge you to give the Ohio voting process your best and most fair-minded scrutiny.

Please stand up for Democracy! Too many documented irregularities in the 2004 election make the results questionable. Let's investigate this. Do NOT certify the 2004 election without a full, bi-partisan investigation.
The USA must be the standard for fair, just, honest and inclusive elections. We must show the world now that we take democracy seriously; that there is more to the USA than brute force aginst world opinion.
