September 11th 2001 affected the lives of every American citizen. Even those who did not know any of the people who lost their lives that fateful day and in the days that are still to follow. These people paid the ultimate sacrafice and I beleive that we, as a nation, need to do more than just build memorials. I beleive that we, as a nation, should observe this day as one of rememberance and patriotism. It is my strong beleif that September 11th, regardless of the year, should be observed as a national holiday honoring all those who died and survived that fateful day in Pennsylvania, in New York City, at the Pentagon and all those men and women who answered the call to serve their country overseas to fight the war on terrorism. They paid the ultimate sacrafice, our nations duty is to pay them the ultimate honor.
