I as a citizen of this state,fully support the demands of the "Rossport 5" and ask that my political representatives work to have the five men released from jail immediately and an inquiry at the highest level to be put into place without delay into the entire affair of the Corrib Gas Field Project. My vote at the next elections will take into account how my local T.D.s and councillors have represented me in this matter.
The government and the oil companies should respect the people of Ireland, or expect to be treated like pariahs when they come looking for our votes or our money.

I support the brave stand of the Rossport 5. Shame on the Irish government and judiciary for putting multinational interests before the health and safety of the Irish people and environment.
I am disgusted that the Irish Government has once again failed in its duty to the Irish People by siding with the Shell Multinational. The Courts are in my opinion also guilty of siding with the "big boys" in wrongly keeping the Erris 5 in jail.
Why does it seem that our Govt. is never on the side of the people of Ireland when it comes to our environment, heritage, and issues of social justice? Answer in three words; money, money, money!

as you can see, this branch of the scott family disapproves the abuse of fossil fuels and would much rather see monies spent by these huge corporations on alternate fuel options, like the geyers (geothermal energy)on the west coast of the united states. much less expensive to develop and operate. also, there are innovative new transportation designs that use alternate fuels as well. exploring those might be a better option than the current plans.
