Well Done to all in Erris for standing up against greedy multinationals and an ineffective government in demanding their rights to a safe and healthy environment and to their right to have a say in placing their community and people before multinational profits. Its an example and inspiration to everybody.. Comhairdhecas Libh
This has become a struggle between ordinary people and a giant multinational corporation. The Irish state has, unfortunately, backed the multinational - no surprise there though.
SEPIL must cease all operations now. There must be complete transparency by all concerned with this project. Thank you Philip,Willie,Brendan,Vin cent and Micheál. You do this for all of us.
Chítear domhsa gur cheart athscrúdú a dhéanamh ar an chás seo ar mhaithe le muintir na háite agus athbhreithniú ar cad é is ciall le saibhreas agus praghas an tsaibhris sin
It is disgraceful that it took the actions of a few brave people to again highlight how our government has sold our natural resources to big business for any cost
This company is firmly at the centre of things that threaten the future of all humanity. Because we too are in thrall to their products we have become mere ecological imbeciles furthering the destruction. Stances taken by these 5 people can make us look at the need for more earth centred alternatives and move away from these destructive practices we are currently mega-deep in. Keep the faith
Free the Rossport 5 as Mayo needs any able bodied man who can kick a ball to replace the gimps who currently are hiding out in their forward line.Or else make Shell move to Kerry!
I would like to sign this petition in supprt of the five men in prison, standing up to safeguard our future from envirnomntal damage and invasive multinationals, it's time the government acted with the people.
I applaud the courage of the Rossport 5 for standing up for their beliefs. It is a disgrace that people have to go to such lengths and endure imprisonment to get their point across. So much for democracy!!
If this kind of barbarity were happening in the Third World we'd be sad but not surprised. But in modern Ireland! The Government should be less craven in the face of multinational pressure.
