As James Connolly said..."Our demands are modest, we only want the earth!" It is the duty of every Irish citizen to fight foreign aggression where ever it is to be found...this time its Mayo! Free the Rossport Five and jail the corrupt politicos!
I don't understand what the 'Royal' stands for in Royal Dutch Shell. Maybe Jeroen van der Veer or Jorma Ollila can explain it to us.
Another idea: A sustainable company creates social, environmental and financial value. Within the Shell Group these are referred to as the three Ps - people, planet and profits. Integrating and balancing these in decision making and engagement with stakeholders lies at the core of the business view of sustainable development.
By engaging with stakeholders such as investors, customers and communities a company gains insight into external needs and expectations and is provided with a comprehensive view of current and emerging risks. Shell Global Solutions can provide assistance at the corporate/business level and at project level.
Get these guys in they seem to know how to do business! ;-(
This situation is a disgrace and the whole relationship between Shell and the Irish Government stinks. It is time for 'real politicians' to stand up and be counted for and provide the necessary leadership to end this scandal.
these noble men are fighting the new war; colonialism by corporation.all praise to them and their brave families for refusing to be coerced by snivelling wretches in government and multinational guff-spinners.
If it wasn't for the people standing up and being counted this country would be ruined by multy-nations and governments only interested in filling their own pockets at the expense of the working population. Their are MANY who should be, legally in jail but in the island of saints and scholars the wrong-doer is always excused.
Disgrace that those guys are in prison. If politicians don't stand up to petrochemical multinationals like these they'll make a mess of the country take what they can and then move on to the next place eg. Nigeria. FF aren't doing a tap...smells of corruption to me....will this be another tribunal in 10 yrs time!?
Unacceptable: 21st century corporates are required to act in the best interests of the global and local environment and for ALL stakeholders, including local neighbours as guests in our country. To quote Dutch accounting code of practice for Corporate Goverance: 'Comply or explain.' MM
I wonder when Judge Finnigan and his colleagues in the judiciary, and in the legal profession generally, will purge themselves of their contempt for the citizens of the Republic of Ireland? - and for the legal rights of the citizens of the Republic of Ireland, as set out in Bunreacht na hEireann?
The health and safety issues have not been adequately addressed and the government's role in placing CPO orders to enable a private developer proceed with a project of thyios nature is very questionable
it is a disgrace that free state ministers and so called republican administrations allow this to happen just like their assistance in bombing civilians via shannon. the sooner people rise against these people the better. ta ar la ag teacht
It is a sad day in Ireland when ordinary men and women are unable to stand up for what they beklieve in. The court system is a joke and the fact that these men have to languish in jail is a disgrace. I fully support their cause and wish them well in their endeavours.
Just what rights do use Irish citizens really have. Are we to expect being LOCKED UP for expressing their RIGHT to protect ourselves and our families?? It is time that the government elected by the Free Citizens of Ireland stood up and took note! It is use that you are serving. FREE THE ROSSPORT 5 NOW!
I believe that every person in the country should be on strike and should therefore stop paying tax until those honest men are released from jail. This is an outrageous situation. I am disgusted with the government - local and national, and with the "justice" system in this country.
