because I believe shell have more than enough resources to process the gas at sea and should be made do so. Not to mind the use of the GArdai as a private security firm.
i believe that what the rossport five are doing is right.these men are fighting for the safety of themselves and their families and they have been treated like criminals,with the liberty taken and their reputations assaulted.their supporters are just as noble,puttting their heart into a cause they believe to be just.shame on those who have stood in their way in their pursuit of justice.however they must not be disheartened as freedom,honour and pride will always prevail as all those who believe in any form of justice will come to support the cause.if the right action is taken and the right pressure applied those responsible for this situation will give in to reality.hit them them where it hurts and they will realize that this will not benefit them as they hope.the country is on the side of those who want the best for all.God bless Ireland and God bless the rossport five
as I am annoyed at how the Irish Government are using the Gardai who are there to to intimidate irish people rather than protest them to ensure that Shell get their own way.
as so often happens, the police are used as a tool of corporate domination to suppress the people. The people of Ireland don't want Shell, so Shell should stay the hell out.

Look at how many police officers are being used...more than you would get an an all Ireland final and that is everyday. how much is this all costing

combating crime instead of peaceful protesters...the streets might be safe to walk upon.Have we any resources or state companys left?? Eircom gone, aer lingus gone. All of are main roads will or are being tolled. why could the sell off of these state companiies pay for these roads...instead of making other countries rich at our expense.

This news is a complete outrage.Shell is pushing thier way and tresspassing. The Republic of Ireland is a free country and this decision should have been put to a vote before anyone concidered doing anything. The Gardi should be ashamed for doing what they did. They are there to protect the people not the bussiness' that rob them and poisen the very land they live on. Lets not repeat history by making the irish people feel uncomfortable in their own homes on their own land.
I am disgusted with the way that this country has become business first and foremost.We don't matter when there's money to be made.We the people have to stand up and be counted, otherwise we will be trodden on over and over.
because I am worried about the safety of the local people, given Shell's history and the fact that the Government have already messed up so many times i.e. Aer Lingus flotation, handing over the toll bridges etc. Also, I support this because of the support Sinn Fein/IRA will get in the next election if its not sorted - almost as scary a thought as people dying - nothing new there when Sinn Fein/IRA are involved.
because the resources at the centre of this situation belong to the Irish people who by the proposed development as it stands now will not benefit from these valuable deposits but actually suffer due to their cost-minimised exploitation by Shell who are assissted by our very own government.
There will only be peace if there is justice. My father came from Mayo and the county has a very special place in my heart. At present, as Chairman of the National Conference of Priests for England and Wales I am seeking such justice for priests in their very difficult tasks these days.

Stop the corrib gas extraction project. If shell refuse to act lawfully and in a civil manner, and ignore local concerns, by using force to steal the natural resources they should be prosecuted in court, the state is there to serve it's citizens, not Shell's interests

i completly support the people of ros duach I think it is a complete disgrace what happened this morning, the guardai are there to protect us people and instead they are doing the work of foreigen big shot companies.
