The five men are standing up for the rights of the country, supporting them is not an option.
Remember at the next election who put them in jail and who sold off our natural resources...Fianna Fail.
why is ireland a pawn to muti-national corporationsare we the servants of greed or will the right to freedom of expreesion be heard over the voices of greed. free these men and let them farm in peace and let the sea be harvested from the sea and not the land.
The health and safety of the residents of Rossport must be safeguarded...does profit have priorty over human beings by the Government in Ireland?!
The 5 protesters must be freed.
Jailing people for standing up and voicing their basic democratic right, the right to freedom of speech, the constitutional enshrined right to the protection of property and family life.
Total disgrace! We've seen Shell in action in Nigeria for a long time now.We need to support these brave five who are representing the basic human rights we all claim to own. Nobody should buy in shell stations ever again.
I am Irish living in Australia. Sending my support to people correctly standing up for their rights and for the rights of everyone against multinationals, in ths case, Shell and others.
I think it is a total disgrace that these five men are currently imprisoned for little more than fighting for protection of their land and lives. Does this country not recognize the supreme danger that Shell is posing not just to Rossport, but Mayo and the entire country! Have the Irish become so greedy that they will literally sell their people, their land and their souls to the highest people!! Shame, shame, shame!
This country is becoming like America or the fascists and nazis in the 40s...what has happend to dear ol' Ireland ? Release those brave Irishmen today, it's unbelievable!
What is happening here cannot be justified! Law obdining citizens, in their later stage of life, being treated like common criminals, merely because they chose to protect their home and families. It is truly disgusting!
