There are legitimate questions to be raised about the psychiatric drugs that are out there. But I don't think Mr. Cruise is the person to be the spokesman for these concerns. I'm a mental health nurse and was quite disturbed to hear cruise's comments about Brook Shields usage of an antidepressant for postpartum depression. But my shock didnt last long when I remembered...oH Tom Cruise...the guy who seems to have stopped taking his lithium and has lost all insight to how manic he appears in public lately. You have blown everything in the past couple weeks. I pray to my God that you will never have to face the nightmares of depression. But then again you can't - because the depression you spoke so eloquently about is a woman's problem. It is real, it can lead to terrible things and it can also be trearted with meds - which work. I'd sure hate to be your wife, and have a baby to become very ill with post partum depression. You'd be the absolutely most horrid nightmare any woman be srapped with.

Hi everyone. I am the aforementioned son of Danielle. Personally, I've tried, in the past, to go without my meds, and it didn't get me that far; about from here to the nearest pharmacy, driving my family up a wall the entire way. This was in my freshman year, and only compounded the inherent problems in that stage of teenage life. My grades tanked, I had no friends, was hyper 24/7, and never slept. Needless to say, I can recognize ADHD when I see it, and from the way Tom was acting-interrupting, starting topic lines without going into ANY details whatsoever, and, in general, showing that his skull has the texture of a brick- I saw ADHD all over the place, and it's obvious that this "Scientology" crap isn't helping much. I'll bet that psychologists and -chiatrists all over the world are watching him like a bunch of sharks: "Just give me his head for five minutes. Please." Tom, shove it.
since Tom so eloquently spoke on the evils of ADHD medication and seems to view them as unnecessary, I invite him to take my 16 year old son - who, according to the Drs at the University of Washington School of medicine has ADHD-Severe and is on a MAXIMUM dose of the dreaded Adderal- to take my son to his Hollywood home for 2 months without meds, of course, and no personal assistants to do anything for him and have this great kid continue on the level of success he has achieved.
