Alex's show introduced me to HGTV and if it is gone there is nothing left of your programming to induce me to tune in. Not everyone is interested in decorating and design yet many quilters also stayed tuned to watch these shows. There is no substitute for Alex.

I support this petition because there is no other quilting program as good as Simply Quilts--bar none! Alex Anderson has continued to educate and inspire us with her own extensive knowledge and her wide variety of talented guests. Simply Quilts was the only reason I got satellite TV and HGTV seven years ago (in the days when you had to buy the equipment) It continues to inspire me today. Please don't lose this treasure you have.

Please do not cancel Simp;y Quilts. It is the only show on HGTV worth watching. I don't think that keeping a 30 minute show will cause you to lose money. You will lose so many viewers and money by cancelling Simply Quilts!

It would be a shame to ignore this group - I would think that the advertisers would hate to lose them. I personally would be at a loss without our quilting shows and especially Simply Quilts. Alex has wonderful guests -- with great ideas and instructions and my friends and I have learned much from it. Cancelling Simply Quilts is one of the worst decisions that HGTV can make. Millions are spent a year on quilting, fabric, and notions. I think the fabric shows should boycott HGTV. What would happen to all the decorating shows then?? They wouldn't have any fabric to decorate with. My degree is Interior Design, but the OVERabundance of design shows is sickening!!!

Why cancel this classy show that teaches so much and have so many trashy designer shows with decorators glueing feathers to a wall?

Simply Quilts is the only quilt show I can depend on no matter where I am in the country. Alex is an invaluable asset to the quilting community. To replace her with another redundet trendy decorating show would be ridiculous. Quilting has been active and thriving for centuries. The rest of the crafts are accumulating dust in the storage unit and most of your decorators'wouldn't know how to work with a REAL person's budget if their lives depended on it. If anything, you should be ADDING quilt shows.

feel the cancellation of Simple Quilts is a major mistake. The large audience that quilt has a great buying power and products that assist us will go unpurchased. For example... On Monday, Alex and her guest showed a ruler with a groove to assist with making cording. I had never heard of that item and will look for it in the future. A person can only decorate their homes so many ways, but the artistry of quilting is endless. Please reconsider the cancellation of Simply Quilts

I watch HGTV on a daily basis but I can always go to TLC and get the exact type programing by a different name. We know you most likely have ALREADY replaced it and have your airing in order for the new season but please take a moment and RE_THINK your decision on this great show...Some shows (like Scrpabooking) have several time slots delegated to them..Why can't we keep our 30 minute slot for Simply Quilts???
