I cannot imagine anyone thinking Simply Quilts should be cancelled! Alex Anderson and Simply Quilts are the epitome of a classy, educational show. HGTV would be doing a tremendous disservice to the millions of quilters out here if they do not continue this show.
I support this petition. When I retired, I subscribed to HGTV so I could finally watch Simply Quilts. The show is an excellent way for the quilter to keep up with current trends and review classes previously taken. I use Alex's book, Start Quilting, to teach a beginning class and recommend the show to my students for follow-up. There are plenty of home dec shows available throughtout the television schedule, but Simply Quilts is the only show available for the quilter of all levels. If the show does not continue, it will be a great loss to the creative community.
I support this petition. I love Alex and her show, I am so sick of home re-do shows, and if you replace Simply Quilts with that I think you will lose lots of viewers.

I support this petition. My day starts with a cup of coffee and Simply Quilts. This is the only quilt show on HGTV. Surely you have more than enough audience to warrant keeping this program. Alex does a wonderful job. The format is very inspirational for old and new quilters. You really need to keep this going.

Now I own 3 machines and have a thriving quilting business. We need this show to continue for all those who gain so much help from this show.

Simply Quilts is more than a show!Quilting changes people's lives. It gives them confidence, self esteem, and pride in what they are doing. Families look at a new quilter with renewed respect. Quilting improves the lives of folks "down and out" for some reason or another.
They are the most giving people I know. It is a commmunity like no other. To take away a Simply Quilts is like taking away the family doctor!

Alex Anderson has done such a fantastic job and with her guests has taught me what I know about quilting. I would be lost without it. I watch her show every morning.....

Quilting is enjoyed by MILLIONS of people in this country, and we spend alot of money on fabric and notions. If you want proof of how many quilters there are, try calling some hotels in and around Paducah, Kentucky, and see if you can find a room anywhere during the quilt show to be held there April 26-29, 2006. Most hotels are booked full a year in advance! There are other quilting shows on TV, but this is the only one I watch and tape. You've decorator-showed us to death on HGTV. Lately I don't even watch it anymore, except for Simply Quilts. Do you really believe you can't spare one half hour for something else?

I can assure you I will no longer be watching if Simply Quilts is taken off the air. I'm sure many viewers feel the same way. I support this petition. There are lots of programs HGTV could take off besides this one. The quilting community spends billions of $$ a year, and we need these education online programs, or we will have to watch the only other quilting shows available to us Public Television. Please reconsider.

There have been so many inspirational and training sessions for me in this show. Please don't cancel it. I get up at 5 a.m. to catch the Pacific time 5:30 airing. This is the best quilting show on TV. It has many devoted fans.

I will NOT watch anything else on HGTV..and therefore I will not be watching all the commericals and supporting them as I won't see them.. As for PBS.. I only get one "Quilting show" a week.. I support this petition. I can not believe that after all this time of having loyal viewers that HGTV is cancelling Simply Quilts. First it was Carol Duvall and now Simply Quilts. These types of shows are so limited as it is anyway. I now will have no reason to watch HGTV as there are way too many decorating shows on and they aren't all that great either. Isn't part of HGTV suppose to include quilting as part of the Home part of its title. Now if you wanted to come out and redecorate ALL of our homes that would be a different story wouldn't it? I also don't believe that the sponsors really know that you are doing this and the effect it could have on their businesses also. Simply Quilts is the only quilting show we can get in our area without having a dish, so we premium price for digital cable in order for me to watch, I can see no reason to continue with HGTV unless there is a Simply Quilts.
