-- making all who watch feel as if they are "participating" in the "class" for that day! It saddens me to think that HGTV would even consider removing a dear friend such as Simply Quilts from so many households, hospitals, and nursing homes! I am hopeful they will reconsider their decision.
I support this petition. It is a learning tool for all from beginner to advanced. I sometimes watch Simply Quilts in the morning and watch HGTV all day while I'm sewing. I will not turn on or watch HGTV if Simply Quilts is dropped.

I just heard that you are not filming any new shows of Simply Quilts and the program will not be on the air after the end of 2006. Would you please rethink this decision -- this program is a favorite among the quilters in this country. Alex Anderson is a natural as a television host and this show provides much information that only this media can provide.

You have waaaay too many home dec shows - even showing reruns of shows that truly are out of date: ex: Room by Room.(It is on 2x in the morning!) I'm sick of watching so many home dec shows. In 1995 I was a new mother and happened to start watching the premiere of your new network. The show that captured my attention the most was “Simply Quilts”. Every episode was interesting, and inspired me to venture into a quilt shop for the first time. Alex Anderson and the guests she presents have kept me watching faithfully for the past ten years.
It has been great seeing a new episode every Monday. Please don’t take that away from us quilters.

I support this petition. Quilting is one of the fastest growing hobby,craft and business. Men, not jusst woman are great quilters and quilt teachers. We purchase books and items shown on Simply Quilts. Many many of us donate time and materials to charitable organizations, ie. Veterans homes, wounded Irag veterans, MacDonald House, David's House, nursing homes and many more. It would be a big disservice tot he quilting community to cancel Simply Quilts. HGTV needs more than house decorating shows.
